What color polish are you rocking right now?

@baby monster
I loooove the base color. And those opalescent flakies are my favorite type of flakes.

My eyes see a bit of purple besides violet and teal but can't seem to photograph it.

Welcome @LetLoveRule. Nice nail art. Do you do it yourself?

Thank you :D yes, on my natural nails but I've been a bit busy lately so tend to wear just a plain colour. I love the Sally Hansen Miracle Gel polishes, they last over a week :mrgreen2:

OPI's Go With the Lava Flow

The color looks really orange on my screen but it's more pink-orange in person. Love it!

Essie really red

Oooh I like this a lot! Gonna pick this one up
It's a nice brown. To show you its diff personalities I am attaching more pics! It's glossy on its own but I have bedsheet marks everywhere due to crappy top coat.

thanks for the extra pics @Cockatiel! Such a pretty color for the fall.

I still love doing my nails! :D I also love my color changers!!! The base is a nude type pink, on top is shade shifters, clear (with sparkle) that when it's cold it goes black. :D The picture looks weird only because I put some ice on my nails to show the color. The second pic is how it looks when my hands are warm. The pink is challenging to capture as its showing a bit more gray on my screen I try to wear my color changing gels a lot in the winter as my hands are too hot in the summer. :D

I've had a go with water decals :praise: I bought some Halloween ones which I meant to do on Wednesday but was too busy and on Thursday I had to visit my mum because she'd been taken into hospital. :(2 (she's ok now, coming out today I think). But this was my practice run

and then I've just worn silver glitter until being nude for 2 days!

I can try the Halloween ones today :praise:

Well the darker, more detailed ones are trickier to get right. I messed up about 4 of them and even these aren't amazing. I'm off work next week so not many people will see them! Spooky house water decals, I added the darker blue polish to the tips because the pinky nail decal wasn't long enough and I needed to cover a slight messup on the thumb. Then I used some sparkle just because.
:D:bigsmile:

When I know they're set I'll try and tidy up a bit more

And now

Zoya Jem

Zoya gives me the worst tip wear ever as in by the end of the first day it looks unacceptable. Even when I file everything right down to the nail bed!

Poppy water decals - time to get out my poppy brooch and earrings too :) (I'm not as happy with these as I was with the halloween ones, well once I cleaned them up).

So, I've tried the CND Field Fox Shellac a couple times. Wear time was 1-2 weeks, depending on how thickly I applied it (and thus how well it cured). It's a great color, but I realize I'm just not a gel person. They were a little pricey, and I don't want them to go to waste. I will happily send the color and top coat free to anyone in the US who is interested. Just point me to a LT listing/contact info and they're yours!

Kris, did you find the tips to wear well? I got one color this summer (Alpine Plum) and it was horribly disappointing to me. The tips didn't last much better than regular polish.

As an aside, I got the OPI Infinite Shine to try out. I'm likely going to give it a go this week some time. My fear is that the gel curing light is bad for my hands (i.e., making them look older than they already do!) so I thought I'd see if there is indeed a "regular" polish that will last on me for more than a few days. I've been doing only gell for over 10 years now, so things must have improved some in the land of regular polish... right?!

@Dee*Jay, the first time I tried it (thinner coats), the limiting factor was edge lifting (just one nail and then I removed the whole manicure). The second time I did get a couple tip chips after a week.

I hope you like the infinite shine. Whether I use regular OPI or the Inifinite Shine (can't tell a difference), my favorite combo is with the Seche Vite or Seche Vive Gel effect topcoat.

ETA: When I need a new topcoat, I plan to try the CG Fast Forward and Poshe that @Cockatiel and @ecf8503, respectively, have recommended.

I may be interested - do you think they wear better than the essie gel couture? That’s the only one I’ve tried at home and found it a bit disappointing.

@leukolenos, I haven't tried the Essie Gel Couture (although I might, now that Essie has changed their brush). Do you like it? The CND requires a 60 sec LED cure. If you have a light, it's worth a try!
