I am a great fan of Ks and like the look of a diamond with some warmth between 6-7mm. My main criteria is light performance.

Mine is a very white-facing GIA L. I absolutely love it.

I went for E, although only because I found a nice stone at what i thought to be a very good price and was comparable to G/H I was looking at when I purchased it.

Otherwise i would have gone for G/H colour.

If the choice were up to me, I would have gone for YG in a bezel setting and purchased the largest facing "I" colour I could find with excellent light performance. However the missus asked for platinum so that was not on the cards.

Mine is an I. I went to a HOF dealer and compared stones from G-I and found that i'm not super color sensitive. LOL. So i went with I which afforded me to get a larger diamond than i would have if i preferred a G. It is an AGS000, and face down i NEVER see any color. Sometimes from the side i see a hint but it does not bother me. I would recommend heading to a jeweler and see your individual tolerance for color.

Mine is a D but its a fancy where when you find the faceting pattern that you like you sort of accept the color/clarity (if they
are good enough) of the stone. Honestly, it's to white for my taste and I wish it were more in the G range.

Edit...my smaller BGD blue is a J. If I were buying a round (It would be more like an OEC) I would probably be happy to
go the the L/M level to get the size I wanted.

Size over colour  and I'm very happy with it; EGL L 1.35 vs1 OEC

My stone is an E vs2. While I understand that light performance is key I am very color sensitive. I really wanted a D but couldn't find one with my exact specs. I love my stone though and am permanently satisfied.

I just wear a diamond band currently, and the diamonds are F/G color.

Before that I owned two H stones, and then an I, and then two J color stones. If I were to pick out a new diamond, I would stick with J or even K, as I think they are great values.

You just got 2 new e-rings earlier this year, right??????

Well, my original e-ring diamond was F color, and since PS I have had G,H, and I color!

I am a little color sensitive and think my happiest spot to balance size, color, and price is H color in a round. I wanted an AVR and had to go to I color because all they had were two I color stones in the 2 ct size range. I love my stone and it is totally white in natural light and a blinding white ball of fire in sunlight. But it does pick up tint in my house with beige walls and lamp light and that bugs me a little. I doubt I will ever change this stone, though, because I love that Yoram cut it. But my studs are H&A H color and that is probably my sweet spot.

I may go to J color in a second diamond such as an AVC or emerald cut, though. For some reason I don't mind the tint as much in larger faceted stones.

DS if another AVR popped up with similar petterning and cut by yoram and same size but H color, would you still be tempted to upgrade?

Currently, I and J:

I don't usually like asschers, but your ring is gorgeous!!

My 3 stone has all I stones. The center is graded by AGS and the sides by GIA. I think I really could have gone down to at least a J, but I was worried it would look too yellow.

I was having trouble getting a picture up. Hopefully this time it works.

Definitely carat over color. Mine is I color, BGD Blue. No regret at all.

Mine is a J. We choose size over color. I am very happy with the color of my J! It looks very white most of the time.

E with F side stones. My husband picked it out before I discovered PS, and the color may be a little higher than was necessary, but I love my diamond!

I LOVE your G also. :) I think your stone is one of - if not the - most fiery, light emitters on these forums.

Thank You. :sun:

Mine is a GIA F EC. I was looking for a G, but couldn't find one matching with my other specs. Currently I am looking for a J-K antique cushion, because I love that vintage-white look.

Mine is an H. I rarely notice any body color in my stone, and when I do, it appears to add a nice effect to the flashes it emits. I was concerned about cut foremost (Excellent), and we went with Tiffany & Company since they have my first and only favorite emerald cut setting of all time.

Mikla, you have one of my all-time favorite EC 3-stones! Perfect LxW shape and proportion to the sides! :appl: :appl: :cheeky: :cheeky:

I have a J colored MRB, which allowed me to get almost another 1/3 carat in size -- no regrets whatsoever!! <---- I'm a size whore...

Forgot to add a photo...

Ha!

I think we get very attached to our colors. For whatever reason.
