What did you wear as your Jewels du Jour?

Cool thread! I wore my engagement ring and wedding band (which I wear every day), oval white topaz studs, irradiated green diamond ring, and Daniel M 3-stone pendant (green zoisite, orange opal, and tanzanite).

Super thread - love hearing about everyone's jewelry wardrobe for the day! Today I wore just my white gold wedding band on the left hand, and an emerald-cut Tanzanite in a Tiffany-style cathedral solitaire setting on my middle finger of the right hand. The earrings were sterling silver fish hooks w/ dangling etched ball baubles. Yesterday I wore my gargantuan cushion-cut checkerboard smoky quartz set in sterling silver in place of the Tanzanite, with the rest of the jewelry the same as today.

While I'll rotate in engagement-type rings to wear with my wedding band, or switch out my plain band for a diamond band, and maybe even include a ring on on my left hand index finger, my right hand is reserved for just one big ring on the middle finger -- I guess because I'm right-handed I don't like too much going on there, but I do feel bare if I don't wear that ring on the middle finger!

Oh dear, is it sacrilegious to admit that I wore no rings at all yesterday and today?

WHAT????!!!???

I wore my diamond engagement ring with two baget diamond bands on each side. On my right had, blue sapphire in a fishtail platinum setting. For the pendant, chocolate diamond in yellow gold. I have no shame in mixing different color metal, I love to do that. I wore a dk blue shirt and got to wear my jeans to work!!

Jstarfireb, I bet your oval topaz studs are lovely. I have some 5 x 3 oval sapphire studs and really like them.

Marymm, your EC tanzanite sounds divine. I want an EC tanzanite (yes my list is long and varied). Very cool you like a big ring on your middle finger for your right hand. I can only stand to wear rings on my ring fingers which is sad because I love pinky rings but they drive me crazy in about 30 minutes.

Mochi, I mix metal colors too. A chocolate diamond? Sounds yummy.

My green grey diamond, my other green grey diamond three stone ring with pink diamond sides (again rose gold), my Afghan mint tourmaline cushion, my violet spinel, and my neon glowy paraiba (two tone yellow and white gold, rose gold, and white gold respectively). Yes, I'm gawdy. I hide my hands under tables quite a bit at work. Sorry, it's my entertainment, I need something pretty to look at all day, and I don't wear jewelry to look good for other people, but for myself. (is it just me, but I love these new "devil" emoticons - LOL!)

TL, I am turning into a mini-version of you and you, by now, are probably a mini-version of Liz Taylor. If you had your own perfume line, how would you name it? "Spinels and paraibas"? Or something else?

Crasru, LOL at TL being a mini Liz Taylor and you being a mini TL. It's funny how much my tastes and wish lists have changed since I started Pricescope.

I dug out my YG tanzanite suite today. I have a pear shaped pendant with diamond accents, 3 pear shaped tanzanite dangle earrings, an oval tanzanite bracelet that I am wearing with my diamond tennis bracelet and a marquis bypass tanzanite ring. I will hopefully be able to get my real wedding rings on today. I had them soldered together last fall and didn't have them sized up a little bit and now that it's hot here I can't quite get them on my fingers. If they don't go on I will wear my EC RHR as my ering today.

God, Marcy, what a beauty! Who made it?

Thanks Marcy! The studs came from a mall store and were super-cheap, but I wear them a lot because they go with everything. They're very pretty.

I like your tanzanite ring too! I have a few marquise-cut tanzanites, and I think there's something about that cut that really brings out the color.

Today I am wearing my Swan necklace, a platinum ruby/diamond vintage ring, 3 gold bracelets and an asscher cut white topaz ring. This line-up is subject to change in accordance with my mood! ;))

Is that one ring per finger? That would still leave 4 fingers free, or 6 if you counted thumbs. So much free space!

Thanks, Crasru, I found that in a B&M jewelry store and got 45% off because all gemstones were on sale. It is a great color tanzanite.

Jstarfireb, it’s nice to have a pair of studs you really like and go with everything. I agree a marquis or trillion shape really makes tanzanite pop.

Amber, too funny about your disclaimer about changing what you are wearing according to your mood. I really, really like asscher cut rings.

Klewis, LOL at so much free space.

Today is a lazy Sunday so I am wearing my Kentucky Blue sapphire ring, earrings and necklace and my wrings.

Today I wore my wrings, WG bracelet, WG heart diamond / sapphire ring, my WF PC studs and a WG heart pendant that has my original but small ering diamond in it.

Crasru,
As always, you really give me waaaaaaaay waaaaaaay too much credit. I think one of Liz's rings is worth more than my entire jewelry box multiplied by a googol-plex. If I'm a mini Liz Taylor, well, I'm probably the size of a molecule. Liz would probably spit up at all my LOGR's. :?

Wedding band, blue sapph eternity band, blue tourmaline Daniel M ring, light blue sapph bezel necklace.

It was a very blue day. I also wore a blue jean jacket, navy sailor pants, and a blue/gray flowered shirt. The only thing that wasn't blue? My shoes. WTF?!

Can we play more than once? Today I wore gold dolphin hoop earrings, a gold collar-style necklace and ring-shaped jade pendant with gold accents, my JKT silver and green gold prasiolite ring, and my other prasiolite ring on my left index finger. Also still wore my engagement ring and wedding band, which for me goes without saying.

TL, I did laugh at Liz Taylor spitting on your LOGR’s. We used to gift wrap at Barnes and Noble for donations at Christmas time to raise funds for a local club. When I was bored I would go find the book on Liz Taylor’s jewelry. Have you ever watched the Here’s Lucy episode where Lucy got Liz’s 67 ct. diamond stuck on her finger? I Youtubed it to watch. That is one serious sided diamond.

Freke, I hope you had a great day even if it was “blue”. That is probably my most common color of clothing and gemstones too.

Jstarfireb, we can play every day. My niece would love your dolphin earrings. Prasiolite is so pretty. I am seeing more and more of it in the B&M stores too. Yes I look sometimes.

Even though I hardly post here in CS, I want to play! This thread is so much fun. My "jewels du jour" will be much less exciting than all of yours, though. Today I wore my wedding set, my diamond bezel pendant, diamond studs, and my deep blue (made that color up) cushion-cut sapphire RHR.

I want to play! Let's see, I never take off my earrings and I wear two sets: the top ones are trillion cut Tanzanite set in WG. They are pretty small. The bottom ones are small diamond cluster flowers. And I have another trillion Tanzanite single earring in the upper left part of my ear (I lost its mate a long time ago).
Necklace is a new diamond cluster flower my mom gave me for my b-day. Bracelet is 5 EC light pink sapphires (small) in WG, all 4 prong set. It's very hard to describe without pictures and I've missplaced my camera at the moment. Ring is a small oval light pink sapphire set E-W with a very delicate band with milgrain details. The ring and bracelet were presents from my parents and my BF on the same holiday. They look like a matching set, but neither knew what the other bought! They are from the same jeweler tho.

You guys are going to laugh, but I have one big colored stone guilty pleasure (so to speak). I have a custom made Tanzanite belly button ring. It's another trillion cut and I had bought the stone a long time ago on vacation. I never did anything with it and then my mom took it and had it set into a belly ring. It's WG and it's bezeled on the corners. I never take it out. It's a really nice color and no one ever gets to see it but me!

Kitty bean, it’s funny when I started PS I was totally a colored gemstone girl; now I do enjoy just diamond days. I think diamond bezel set pendants are awesome. Your deep blue cushion cut sapphire ring sounds divine.

CourtLynB, your earrings sound great. I think trillion cut tanzanite are really beautiful stones. How wonderful you got a matching set of pink sapphire jewelry unbeknownst to all the purchases. Sounds like they all know you well enough to know what you’ll like. Pink is a very popular color with me. Too funny you have a secret tanzanite belly ring. I think that would hurt to get done but hey it’s another place you can wear jewelry, right?

Today I wore rhodolite garnets. I have a WG set with rounds in a flower design bracelet, pear shaped dangle earrings and pendant (the pendant was actually an earring; I found 2 sets of earrings online and had the back snipped off one for a pendant), for my wedding ring I wore a cushion rhodotlite with PC side stones (they were my studs from a B&M) and a YG thick band with a 5mm rhodolite heart and 4 embedded tiny blue diamonds.

Marcy,
I have Liz's book :cheeky:

Yeah, I think instead of people calling me Liz Taylor, they should call me Liberace!! LOL!

TL, Liz's book is amazing. Liberace has quite the collection of rings on there.

Today I wore my mini garnet set in WG with my wedding rings.

Went for low-maintenance today with dichroic glass and silver pendant/earring set and radiant-cut blue topaz silver ring, bought cheapo on ebay long ago.

I wore my orange sapphire set today and my wrings.

Today I'm wearing my Richard Homer Spessartite ring, a pair of 1cttw diamond studs, a pair of 0.25cttw diamond studs and of course my diamond wedding ring.

I wore my emerald ring and diamond necklace today. I had a job interview, *fingers crossed*.

Good luck with your interview, Burberrygirl!

TL - I just wanted to mention in passing that in this day and age, even Liz's spit costs a lot! She has become a legend...
I like the photo of Liberace! But could you post a photo of Liz? Cleopathra, maybe?
It is nice to think that there were times when you could be born beautiful and not necessarily need plastic surgery to become a star...

Liz Taylor, Queen of the Nile, and Queen of huge diamonds!! I do love that photo of Liberace though, it makes me giggle. He was a character. RIP Liberace. :saint:
