What difference in size is visible to the eye?

Thanks Miss Got Rocks!

I like having jewelry savings goals. If I have a plan, and can picture what I'm shooting for, it lights a fire under my backside to work hard at my side hustles (which fund the sparklies) and also to be thrifty in my daily life. When I don't have a goal in mind, I find I have less energy to go the extra mile in my work, and far less will power to say no to extras in daily life.

Its all good fun. And something to think about other than the nightly news and current darkness.

I do understand this! A goal can spur you into saving for sure. It also gives you the gift of time to be able to really think about what you want. I find that can be helpful instead of running head long into a project.

It is fun and a great distraction from woes far and near. That’s also the beauty of PS - fun to see what others have planned or achieved!

Thanks for your ear compliment. =)2

But honey, I'd have to buy 3 ct+ studs for the diamond to touch the edge of my ear!

In the photos where I'm holding up Wink's diamonds next to mine, my lobe is smushed and bends downward in a way that makes it appear to have less skin below the stud than it actually does. Even the photo of my solitary stud is taken from a weird angle (its so hard to photograph ears!) and thus doesn't show as much lobe as is actually there. In real life I've wiggle room!

PS: I've been meaning to tell you how much I LOVE your ring (avatar pic). Can you post the link to its story? I know I've seen it but can't find it now!
@RunningwithScissors I may be projecting as I myself overshot the runway and had to throttle back. Swapping out settings is not an inexpensive habit.

Red Spinel Three Stone Thank you, this is the link for the ring in my avatar.

This is difficult!

Yes! =)2

But you all inspire me. Its fun to be with a group of fellow diamond and jewelry lovers!

Hi! I guess I missed this when you first posted and I didn't take the time to read all the responses. But I do have an opinion based on having had diamonds in the ranges you are talking about.

I think a diamond bracelet with 40 pointers would be pretty huge and amazing! So no, you'd not need to go to .45. Go with the most plentiful supply for good matching which might be .40-.42, I think. In actuality, I think a bracelet of .33's would be really large and beautiful, also. I even think .25 is still large and perhaps more wearable casually. Of course, one can have more than one diamond bracelet, too!

I have extensive experience with diamond stud upgrades. Every time I thought I was at my size limit, I'd adjust to it and then upgrade! I have 1.28 ct each now and before that 1.15 each. It was NOT enough difference. If I could go backward and do this over, I would have gone to the 1.4 (each) range, probably, just to avoid the pricing of 1.5+. So considering the size of your e-ring, I would definitely go for 1.4-1.5+. I would not go to 1.25. Minimum 1.3 ct. (7mm) to make it worth upgrading, but 1.4 ct and 7.2 mm is better.

Thanks @diamondseeker2006 =)2

I agree that the size increase to 1.25 each (for studs) is not noticeable enough to make it worth it.

I'm still waiting to receive a few CZ tennis bracelets to try to better understand how the sizes look on my wrist. I will post images when I receive them.

Excellent plan on the cz bracelets! Do you have calipers to measure the size of the stones?

I don't have calipers. I don't 100% trust the websites description of the mm size for the CZ bracelets either, but its what I have to go on at the moment. If I find a size I love, I'll buy calipers and double check it.

Hi @OdetteOdile!

Yes, the CZ bracelets arrived and I have many thoughts. :mrgreen2:

I promise I will post pics and share observations shortly. (I'm crashing on a work project at the moment.)

Stay tuned!
