Today is my one month pre-versary! (pre + anniversary.) I know that sounds really icky but it''s a joke FI and I started a few months ago and it''s stuck.

Anyway, we''re having a very small wedding with mostly out of town guests. Out of the 20 invitations we mailed only 2 went to people in our state! I''ve had several people send me emails/Facebook messages to say they are excited to be coming, can''t wait to see us, etc. I''ve also had friends tell me that they''ve talked to other friends who say they are coming. But they haven''t sent back their response card. Would you consider these comments to count as their RSVPs? We''re still a few weeks out from the RSVP date so maybe I''m over thinking this?

Is anyone else dealing with this?

Hey Fleur,

I am kinda having a similar problem, but on a much larger scale. We sent out about 140 invites for over 220 people. So far, I have only gotten about 40 RSVP''s back, and the RSVP deadline is the 1st of May. I am hoping that I get more in soon, but I fear that there will definitley be some who just forget to send them or lose it altogether (I already had one who did that).

If you take the time to send out RSVP''s and not email invites, than people should have the same respect in sending back an already posted and addresses RSVP! IMO, unless I get an RSVP back, or a phone call with a personal explanation, I am not going to count a Facebook message as an RSVP. This will likely mean lots of phone calls after next week, but I would rather be safe than sorry in regards to either over or under estimating the number of people b/c as I''m sure we have all learned, one person can be expensive, lol
