OK, this is posted in LIW since I am still officially a LIW and not a BIW...

BUT he has the ring :-) And Im constantly going crazy over different types of dress I want...grrr

BUT I know that I want a mermaid style because poofy dresses dont look right on me because I have a short torso and my FF would absolutely HATE IT! :-)

So here is a dress that I LOVED for forever and tried on, But its been a while and now I dunno if Im still in love with it or what...

So honest opinions pretty please :-)

Oh and I know its kinda early to start looking but im an obsessive compulsive have to have everything planned out person or I go crazy... seriously :-) BUT I mean really its only like a year and half before we get married... oh ill stop the rambling and include the pics :-)

Oooo, that''s the dress that I''ve always wanted to try on!!!! You look fabulous! Can you get a custom length though? The bottom looks like it''s going to get cut off

Ha-ha, that swirl thing on your face freaked me out! :)

I love the mermaid fit on you! You have a great figure for it. But I think that particular dress is too busy and actually takes away from your figure. Maybe something a little sleeker?

i love it! i think it looks amazing on you!

I like the swirl. It's like a lollipop.

The dress, I like. BADABING! It's definitely got a lot going on, so I'd keep that in mind about your ideas for venues/decor. It may be strange if there is a big discrepancy.

If I could pick one thing not to like, it's the pickups on the flare...it's a little too...distressed for me. But it is me being picky. Ruching, I like. Ornamentation/embellishments, I like.

It''s a beautiful dress

and it complements your shape perfectly! I also think you have to consider your venue, the time of day, your colors/ flowers & general atmosphere you are aiming for.

Just a lovely dress and you look stunning!

here is the pic of a sweetheart neckline

There''s something wrong with your face

The dress is beautiful and you look gorgeous in it.

I think it''s a little busy. That gather across the tummy looks like a pleated belly button even on the model and she''s thin.

I do love the shape and the dress in general, just not the tummy action.

wow! that''s just beautiful!! it definintely compliments your curves reallyyy well!

the shape of the dress from the back is just beautiful!!!

I agree with FacetFire. You look amazing in the mermaid fit, but this particular dress does have a lot going on. It''s almost a case of the dress wearing you, rather than you wearing the dress...? The shape/silhouette of the dress, though, is truly incredible on you.

I don''t like it....but I think it looks nice on you. I''m just more of a simplicity kind of girl I think.
As far as the face...why block it out when you have it in your avatar?

You are going to look fabulous in any dress!

But from a fellow short-torsoed lover of non-poofy dresses who wore a mermaid-style dress, I can certainly understand why you are drawn to this shape--it looks great on you!

I agree that there is a lot to look at on this dress--I think the combination of the beading throughout the bodice as well as those gathered pieces under the bust, across the stomach and above the skirt is a little busy, but add that to pick-up style skirt and it just goes overboard. Did you try on some more simple designs in the same shape?

I think the mermaid sytle is PERFECT for your figure but I woudl personally like to see a different dress on you. Too busy I don''t love the swirlies...but I love everything else about that dress. The bottom part is so cool!

I think you are on the right track!

That must be so much fun trying on gowns! ENJOY!!!

I think the dress looks soooo much better on you than on the model!

Wow, as soon as I saw the picture I was blown away! I think this dress looks absolutely amazing on you. It is your day to choose whatever you love, and if you want to look like a princess you should. I don''t really think its too busy, because you are a Bride, you will never be able to wear something liek this again (hopefully!

) so take full advantage.

I think the dress looks timeless on you! It somehow captures a modern style- I guess its the mermaid cut - while the fabric, jewels, and wrapping of material allude to a more historic era. I love it! My only thoughts would be if you''re not AS excited as you thought youd be, maybe its not your dream dress anymore? My tastes change all the time and it often catches me by surprise. I''m sure you''ve tried on plenty of mermaid dresses, since you mentioned the way they flatter your torso.. but maybe you should look into other styles (non-poofy
1.gif
) and you might end up falling in love with something once you see yourself in the mirror that you wouldn''t have even considered trying on originally. good luck

There is a lot going on the dress, but really, it comes down to personal preference. I love the sweetheart neckline and the back of the dress! I don''t think the beading and pouffiness of the bottom affect your body shape at all (If only I knew the proper wedding dress terms!). Personally, I think that with your figure you can rock any dress!

I have to agree with previous posters--I think it''s too busy. It has so much going on, and I think that could be overwhelming. The mermaid shape looks very nice on you, but you could wear a burlap sack and look stunning! If I were you, I''d keep looking.

I think that shape of dress looks lovely on you but personally, I think that there is a bit too much going on with that dress. I kind of don''t know where to look first when I''m looking at it.

I think you look gorgeous, but I dislike the horizontal gathered pleat things... it makes it look like the dress is too tight and has been stretched over the full parts of your figure. It actually looks worse on the model in this regard, so I know it''s 100% the dress, and not your body.

I would personally choose between either the beading detail or the gathered material detail. As others have said, there''s a bit much going on for my taste. I think you could probably find something that''s just as flattering to your beautiful figure that is not as distracting. You want YOU to be the center of attention, not your dress.

Well, if anyone can wear that dress, you can. Lovely figure!

I agree. Personal taste but that dress has so much going on. The bottom reminded me of lemon meringue. Your figure is going to be your best accessory, so with a body like that, I''d go simpler on the dress.

As others have said, the dress fits you nicely, however, I do feel it to be a bit busy. Sorry. However, it really just depends on how you feel in it, so if you truly love it, go for it.
