8) have a legitimate excuse to practice my new signature! ...

Heehee!! I''m guilty of this one too, Wren!! I know exactly how my signature will be! So yes, it will be nice to have it be a ''legitimate excuse'' to practice

LOL! I do that too. Though, I have to admit, I''m not too crazy about my new name. Megan Miller. It''s just too many M''s

Actually, your list is pretty much everything I already do. Especially the wedding planning. I already made him compile a guest list.

At age 30, it will be the decision to map out the rest of my life. Without that commitment, I''m helplessly weighing ''what if.''

Definitely all of the above!!! I''m looking forward to no more sympathy stares, no more subtle questions after any holiday as to if I got a ring, no more girlfriend/boyfriend, finally being a real couple, and not just hanging on the sidelines of the "married people", but most of all I''m looking forward to that moment when he gets down on one knee and asks me to be his wife...My mind can''t even seem to grasp that concept...I''ve spent so much of my life thinking that would never happen for me...I hope I can burn every moment of it into my brain to keep forever...

Reading all of these bring more to mind:

No more calling my boss on a weekend to tell her I''ll be coming in late the next day, to hear her say first, "Did he finally propose??!!"

I get to start using my new name, although I''m not quite sure how to sign a capital F in a good way... I have a desk blotter filled with my "new" signature, and no chance to use it. *I''m SO glad I''m not the only one who does this*

I finally get to go places that are for wives and husbands only- the new principal at his school had a dance, but only wives and husbands were allowed to go..

Ironically, I''ve been around there longer than the principal!

Finally the parents at the school he teaches at will stop asking the two of us, "Why aren''t you married yet?" And then proceed to tell us, "Don''t have a wedding, elope! I wish WE had done that..." I honestly can''t tell you how many times I''ve heard that line.

On a side note, my family is SO convinced we''re getting engaged soon (I think buying the setting really helped fuel THAT fire), that they are all planning the wedding already.
