What do you think and what is this style called?

I've been lusting after Van Craeynest pieces but they are out of budget at the moment.

I recently saw this ring for sale, I'm presuming it's not VC since it's in 14k gold and they don't work in 14k based on their website. But the style seems similar and looks of good quality.

Is there a name for this style of ring that seems carved?

Do you think I should pull the trigger?

I think it's very pretty. Any info on the diamonds? If it's in your budget & the size is right -- looks like it would not re-size well -- yeah, go for it!

I tried on this ring. It was a little thicker than I like and although it is a 5.75 (my size) it was a little snug.

Thanks swingirl!

What did you think of the quality of work?

I'm holding off buying anything right now because I *might actually be getting a real VC piece. But we'll see if it actually happens, lol.

I don't know if this is allowed, but I saw a VC piece on ebay and though of your post.....I'm not selling it, so this is just an FYI

i think it is called embossing through electroforming style. it is basically a process in which pure or carat gold is electroplate onto a shaped former.
