What fingers do you wear rings on?

I adore rings but only ever wear them on my wedding ring finger. I'll sometimes slip one onto another finger but it doesn't seem to feel comfortable and it doesn't feel right. Yet I can appreciate and notice rings on lots of different fingers on others and think it looks great. There's a lady who does an evening news show here in Oz who has a gorgeous collection of large, shiny silver rings, not to mention a gorgeous diamond set, on numerous fingers and I think it looks fabulous. However, I tend to wear my wedding ring and choose another ring (rather than stick to one engagement ring) depending on my mood, the company I'm in or the occasion. How many fingers do you like ringing up?

I usually wear my wedding set or a plain band and maybe one other RHR on my R ring finger. I'm not a fan of more than that on myself...I tend to have a more classic and understated style with accessories.

My wedding set (or combo there of) on my L ring finger and then I alternate around on my RHR finger. I occassionally will wear a larger ring on my R, middle finger, but it just feels too odd for me. I can't fill my fingers up with jewels because I do NOT like the feeling of 'stuff' between my fingers.

I also find on people who are comfortable with wearing a lot of rings on all 10 fingers --- I get too distracted watching their hands and totally can't 'hear' what they are saying, because my eyes are so busy following along!

Wedding finger on either hand and pinky rings. I know most people disagree w/me, but rings on other fingers look awkward to me.

I only wear one ring (or two, if it's my wedding set) on my ring fingers. Anything else looks cluttered to me.

Most of the time I wear my wedding band/set on my L ring finger and a ring on my L index finger (a gold signet or a vintage OEC ring), and then a ring on my R middle finger (usually a colored gemstone ring). For some reason I don't like the feel of a ring on my R ring finger.

Wedding set on left hand and one ring on right middle or ring finger.

wedding finger only. I had hand surgery on my right hand about 10 years ago and again 8 years ago to fix an injury from when I did gymnastics and the scar is at the base of my middle finger and wraps. Rings on any of the three main fingers rub it STILL so I just don't wear rings on that hand. I used to wear thumb rings when I was still considered relatively "hip" but I don't bother with them anymore. My knuckles have grown a lot since then also, so they might fit below the knuckle but getting them on and off would require a lot of windex!

Wedding set on left ring-finger, 3-stone RHR on middle finger of right hand. Would never wear more than that.

Wedding set on L ring finger and a RHR on the R right finger. I like the look of a plain band on my left thumb too but don't usually wear one. And I feel like rings on any of the other fingers looks weird on me.

I only wear rings on my ring fingers. I've tried pinky rings a few times but they quickly started to drive me crazy.

Ring fingers only these days. Wedding set on my left, stacking rings on my right.

I prefer rings on my ring and middle fingers (not at the same time on the same hand though because I have never been able to stand rings on adjacent fingers). I also like pinky rings. I do have rings that look best on my thumb and index fingers though, and wear those when I want. I guess all fingers are fair game to me. I usually only wear one on each hand, but every now and then I'll go crazy and do every other finger.

My psychologist wears rings on three fingers of each hand. Adjacent fingers. I don't know how it doesn't drive her crazy. I guess that's why she's the psychologist and I'm the patient?

Wedding set on my left ring fingers and most often one additional RHR either on my right middle or right ring finger.

I don't own any "stackable" rings at the moment, and wouldn't be opposed to wearing a few understated stackers on my right middle or ring fingers at the same time, but other than that, I'm a 3-rings on two fingers kind of gal.

I wear my wedding set on my L ring finger, and a RHR on the middle finger. At least that way, someone gets a flash of bling when you flip them off.

I used to wear more rings -- one on my L middle finger (before I was engaged) and one on each ring and middle finger on my right hand. Somehow, that look now looks dated. When I first got engaged I was wearing rings on both hands, ring and middle fingers. It just didn't look good.

Only really my left ring finger. Sometimes I wear them on my right or left middle finger, but it's not as comfortable.

HI:

Ring fingers only. But I am interested in large Pomeletto rings and since the stones are very large, I will consider wearing them on my right hand, middle or pointer finger.

cheers--Sharon

On my L hand: wedding set only.

On my R hand (on those days when I do wear another ring): in summer, I wear it on my ring finger (next to pinky, right?? That always confuses me for some reason) and then in winter I wear it on my middle finger. I hate tight rings so my ring sizes are l-a-r-g-e. The finger sizes are just different enough that it works and I don't risk losing a ring in winter when my fingers are smaller and more "slippery".

Most days I only wear my ER and wedding band on my left ring finger. If we have a special occasion I might wear another ring on my R hand ring finger so a max of 3 rings total and usually just 2. And only on my ring fingers. Never wore rings on any other fingers. It would feel weird to me I think.

ER and WR (x2) on my left ring finger and an alternating selection of gemstone RHRs on my right ring finger (usually to coordinate with my outfit ;)) ) I have a few rings that are too large for my right ring finger that I don't want to bother sizing, so I'll occasionally wear one of those on my right index or middle finger instead. It doesn't look or feel right, though, which is strange b/c before I got engaged, I ALWAYS wore a ring on my left middle finger and I loved that look ::)

Thanks for your replies. I was at a friend's today and one of her friends turned up who I didn't know. She was sporting three rings, some with gemstones on each of her eight fingers, leaving just thumbs bare. Quite a rare sight in these parts. She was fairly large and loud and I thought they quite suited her in an over the top kind of way. I've noticed my ring finger is indented, where the rings have been over the years and I don't wear my rings tight. Maybe that's why the rings are so comfy to wear.

My MIL does that. Rings on every finger except her thumbs. And usually multiple rings on each finger that desperately need to be cleaned and don't go together. And she likes to wave her hands in peoples' faces. She does it to show off and it's NOT a good look

When I was a teenager, I'd wear rings on every finger. Every single one.

I was cultivating what one might call "the wanna-be fortune-teller Goth look."

In my defense, the rings were very nice (and the eyeliner suited me, I swear).

These days? I'll wear rings on both ring fingers, and a thumb ring on my left hand without thinking about it. I'll wear my wedding ring on one hand, my e-ring or anniversary ring on the other: some days I'll stack eternity bands with either or both. Only one thumb ring so far, but it's four carats of emerald-cut goodness, so I feel okay about that.

I can't for the life of me wear anything on my pointer fingers - that's just uncomfortable - and while I'd love to wear pinky rings, I have weirdly crooked pinkies (I remember from 7th grade bio that this is a genetic mutation that's right up there with unattached earlobes), so ... no, not so much.

That leaves only my middle fingers as available real estate. I'm thinking I'd have no problems wearing a solitaire on the middle finger of a hand sporting eternity bands on the ring finger, or vice versa ....

I wear my e-ring on my left ring finger and I wear a cute twisty band that both my Mom and I have (bought them both on her birthday a few years ago so we can feel more connected) on my right middle finger. When I wear my Grandmother's wedding set that I recently inherited, I take the twisty band off and wear her wedding set, along with the twisty band on my right ring finger.

let's see....its more like what fingers do i NOT wear a ring!
