Ha ha, this is such an old thread and things have changed somewhat. I did start a thread recently on my new-ish items. Of the nice-to-haves, I'm still missing:

- Cartier Love bracelet: I'm definitely getting one this summer when I go to Paris. I may however get the one with 4 diamonds instead
- 6-7ct EC: I still would like this but not obsessing anymore, unless I come across a really good deal
- diamond line necklace: same, would like a 20pt necklace but not obsessing
- tennis bracelet: I got one with 20pts, seriously thinking about upgrading to 30pts
- watch: although I'd really love a diamond-studded watch, my preference right now is to get a mid-range to slightly higher end sports watch
- dangly earrings: I did get newly reset earrings but sold them (I think this is what I was referring to in my initial reply); got another pair of dangly earrings (reset from studs) but unfortunately lost one of them!

Diamond necklace with a kind of "lace" or "scallop" design - hard to describe but I'm thinking of two necklaces I've seen in the past.

Diamond studs in six prong setting -- sorry about the blurriness, I'm not good at selfies! I'm wondering if I have the ear size to upgrade these. My lobes are very small. Oh and my hair was wet so it's an odd color.

Hello diamondseeker2006!! I am trying to catch up on all the threads and missed that.

If I do upgrade I will have these stones as "extras" I don't know a place that will take outside stones as a trade in. But I know my PS friends will help me find a use for the stones.

Here is a less blurry photo.


The mm size seems to be 4mm (I used a ruler) and the prongs seem to add a half mm so 4.5 with setting. So maybe I could go to a 6mm max? ETA: I'm looking at Whiteflash's loose stones and their measurements to get an idea of sizes. Looks like going up to .80tcw would get me up to 4.7mm and then to 5.2mm with the setting. Seems like a lot of money for a small increase. But maybe that 1.2mm would look much bigger in the round than written in a sentence.

@InsecureSweetGirl in hang out asked about a thread on PSer must have bling list. It reminded me of when I asked this question four years ago. Funny thing is I collected most of the things on my original list. It made me realize that the items that I want now are all just icing, and a reflection of how my taste has developed and changed since.
As an update, the only thing that I didn’t get from my original list are the diamond hoops. I’m not sure if I ever will since I don’t like the way hoops drag on my ear piercings. At this point, I may actually have become a collector, which is something I had never intended to be. But I have definitely come to appreciate beautiful jewelry. My next five:
1. VCA perlee bracelet of some derivation
2. Maybe another significant ring as an alternative ering. I discovered I don’t like anything big on my right hand. Long term project.
3. Maybe a bigger Rolex if my arm heals.
4. One more VCA vintage bracelet to change out.
5. Perfect hoop earrings that aren’t awkward and ugly on me.

Would love to see what others think about their original list and how far they have come.

It feels weird to say "must have" when I feel they're all luxury for me and I'm lucky to have any of them But I guess these are what I consider staple pieces I would like to have:

1. OEC E-ring - my almost 3ct transitional was way more than what I could've asked for
2. Wedding band - check
3. Diamond studs - not yet. Will consider MMDs when Lightbox launch.
4. Diamond pendant - not yet. Same as studs.
5. Basic white pearls- check

Wish list:
1. Diamond 5 stone ring - check
2. Tahitian pearls- check
3. Everyday bracelet - check
4. Cartier Balloon Bleu - not yet but my god I want this!

What I feel my essentials would be:
- Eternity wedding band - check
- Cartier tank watch - check
- E-ring - check, (I vascillate between upgrading to a 2ct stone, or tuning my current 1.35 ct into a pendant. Sometimes I’m not sure if I need a big stone ER at all, and whether my eternity is enough. I feel like a 2ct would stand out in my neck of the woods. I want a 2ct, for me, because I’ll love it, but I’m not sure if a 2ct ring is too large a stone to wear around here)
- A tennis bracelet for going out and special events - (I bought a 3ct one in WG, but returned it because I realized I want higher cw and in platinum)

Nice to have (next five)
- Studs of some kind (maybe some VCA studs, as those lie flatter on my ear.)
- one or two or three VCA bracelets
- I think some day I might want an Asscher cut stone.

As you can see, I’m indecisive, picky, and full of contradictions

My next 5 would probably be upgrading and diversifying the previous 5 :p.

Or starting to collect different types of cuts. So getting super ideal cut, oec, step cut, pear cut, elongated cushion, etc. probably in that order.
