We picked up my FI wedding band the other day and while inspecting it, I saw on the inside that the word "Platinum" was written out and then there was an "L"...looked like this "PLATINUM-L"
What exactly does that mean?

Thanks guys for any insight on this!

Hey KBerly. Great to see you. Sometimes a manufacturer makes similar designs in light and heavy forms. Platinum-L may be to identify your FI’s as the lighter version. Another thought is that ''I'' could look like ''L'' if the engraving is worn (but it sounds new). Platinum-I would indicate Platinum-Iridium alloy.

Cheers,

Thank you for the insight. Now that you mention "I," I think that may have been it. I will have to check when I get to NC next week, but I bet that is it. They did say they use platinum/iridium, but just wanted to make sure they weren''t trying to through in that new mix of Platinum and something else I have been hearing about.

Hope you are doing well and thanks again!

KBerly - I saw that indeed. That was a fun thread. Your diamondbunny always makes me smile.

Tough to do, since I am NOT a morning person. Glad the info was helpful...or if you want to - just tell your FI the L stands for Love.
