i eat curry in the winter time,it warms my body up.i can eat noodles everyday,chinese style chow mein,chinese style chow funn.

This reminds me of a Japanese friend of mine who has to have steamed rice at every meal! He''ll eat Spaghetti with a side of plain steamed rice, hamburgers with rice, salad with rice, steak with rice...Everytime he''s invited to my house, I make sure there''s a whole pot of steamed rice, even at our superbowl party where we served fingerfoods, he asked if we had rice!
Too funny! Both my parents are just like your friend. At every meal AND breakfast too. Scrambled eggs with rice. Whatever tickles their pickle!

Well this might totally gross everyone out, but BIG MAC's. I'd be happy eating that three times a day everyday. Unfortunatley I have one about 1 every 3-4 months cause they're evil. I'd be happy with filet mignon three times a day too. I sound like such a carnivore.

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm, I''m with you on the filet, Ally!!! I''m an unapologetic carnivore ~ I tried to be a vegetarian for a while in my early 20''s and was miserable... I missed meat so much!!! Big Macs I could live w/out but occassionally get a wicked craving for one!!

The big macs are so good once in a while. I do love filet, yummmmmm!!!!

I could definitely eat french fries every day. And Starbucks seasonal cookies. I could eat them every day, and practically do when I''m at work because people bring them for me.

I sort of go in phases too, like when I lived in Rome my roommate & I made all sorts of sauces and ate pasta about 2x a day. It was my pasta diet, I lost two sizes

When I lived in Paris, I atea bout a wheel of camembert (or more

)a week. Thank god I had 96 steps to run up and down multiple times a day to get to my apartment.

Right now almost every day for lunch I have a turkey sandwich. Turkey pastrami, salsa turkey, smoked turkey, normal turkey. And then through out the rest of the day I much on it sometimes.

Chocolate and bread are both two foods I can eat every day! The bread I love is a whole grain sprouted bread that I toast and spread butter on. So yummy.

~~~OOOOOOOOOOOOOO I love food!! I have been called a junk food addict, so if I could eat anything day in and day out (without gaining any weight of course!) hmmm... let''s see I have a list...
1. Ice Cream (Vanilla, Strawberry, or Cookies & Cream)
2. Fruit (Strawberries, Kiwi, and Watermelon)
3. Japanese Food (I love the Japanese Steakhouse)
4. Lorna Doone Shortbread Cookies (Loves em!!)
~~ Now that my friends, would be the life!!!!!!!!
Had filet mignon for dinner last Friday and we're eating it again tomorrow. It was pan roasted filet mignons with potato walnut confit, port wine reduction sauce with stilton cheese and shallot rings. We're having it again tomorrow...
Hot Cheetos with Lime!!!! I''m concerned my fingers are going to be permanently stained red. My husband caught me eating them with chopsticks the other day. He knows me well enough by now to just shake his head and not even ask.
Scrambled eggs with shredded potatoes and thick & smooth HOT (which you can never find in the grocery stores) taco sauce, with or without a tortilla shell
Fried eggs and wheat toast - I could eat eggs for breakfast, lunch, and dinner!
Curry dishes!!!!! Thai, Indian, bring it on! If I''m not blowing my nose at the end of the meal, it wasn''t good enough!
Tofu or TVP (fake meat) and vegetable dishes - fried rice, stir-fry, on couscous, pastas, etc.
Thin crust pizza, mozzarella, artichoke hearts, spinach, sundried tomatoes, black olives, and green peppers
Avocado rolls!
Vanilla lowfat yogurt with fruit and grape nuts or wheat germ on top
Rich DARK chocolate!!
Just let me rotate these meals around and I''ll be happy for the rest of my life!
(Can you tell I''m lacto-ovo vegetarian?)
JCJD you could be me! only exception, remove the sundried tomatoes from the pizza, and add california rolls and eel sushi rolls to the avocado rolls (not a vegetarian).
The other thing I can eat every day (and do) is cereal, good for breakfast and great for a snack.
Well it''s not a food, but if I don''t get coffee in the morning, look out!! The caffeine headaches usually hit me around 1pm if I haven''t gotten my morning coffee....
That being said, food wise I''m pretty simple: ice cream ( mint chocolate chip or coffee flavored), popcorn is a MUST! Love it, can''t get enough of it, I''m so addicted that I had to stop having it in the house because I would eat a whole bag for dinner and nothing more, not very nutritious!! Umm, my husband cooks fantastically so we always have great dishes for dinner - great pasta with chicken, crusted salmon with garlic mashed potatoes and veggies, etc. HMMMMM.....
18.gif
Lately my big thing has been Thai and Indian foods. I think it''s the curry. I hate the way it smells, but love the way it tastes. I''ve been going for pad thai, thai fried rice, and different Indian dishes as well. I''m really starting to love it! I love chinese food too, especially lo mein noodles.
Luckily for me, I love fruits and veggies, so I tend to eat pretty well without even noticing or making a concious effort. I don''t eat beef anymore (got violently ill from some bad beef in Kuwait City two years ago), but I love chicken and fish, especially salmon.
Damn, now I''m hungry!!!
We order Thai take out every few weeks. .. one of my favorites is curry coconut chicken. It''s so yummy and it''s the only Thai food my older son will eat. Usually my younger refuses to eat anything Thai, so we have to make him a seperate dinner which takes a bit of fun out of the lazy evening take-out approach.
My favorite food has got to be curry. I can eat it everyday for weeks! It doesn''t matter if it''s Indian curry, Thai curry, Japanese curry, or just any food that contains the spice curry (like curry chicken salad).....
My husband is not a food person at all, and cannot find one thing that he can eat for 2 consecutive meals. I find that so sad
7.gif
I''m with you jaysonsmom. I loooooooove curries. Not huge on Indian ones but love Thai and Malaysian curries. My favourite would have to be curry laksa.
So many curry dishes originate from hot/humid countries. I once asked a Malaysian friend why - you would think that they would cook something that wouldn''t make you sweat like a pig in hot weather!! Her response was that years and years ago, they didn''t have refrigerators, so they would cook the meat in a curry to mask the smell of meat that was starting to go off. Now that they have proper storage for their meats, the tradition of cooking curries has stayed. I don''t know if this is true or not.
Rice is a staple in local households here. Just gotta have it with most meals, except when we're having spaghetti or lasagna. Then it's garlic bread.
My grandmother who is German used to make kraut all the time. I couldn''t stand the smell of the stuff and wouldn''t go near it. It wasn''t until h2b''s mother fixed a pork roast with stewed apples and kraut that I dared to try it. I''m surprised that I actually like it. I kind of wish grandma would fix it now so I could try hers. H2b''s mom makes it from the can but grandma''s was always homemade.
Oh, and the filet mignons were excellent
Renee, we went to the movies Saturday night mostly because I was craving movie theater popcorn! My hubby likes the butter on his and I don''t so we each get our own.
The other food that I could eat ever day is cookies. I like almost any and all of them. I like them better than cake and candy and I like those a lot.
I''m with you Patty, cookies are the best. I really love chocolate chip cookies, yummmm.
Mexican food, 3 times a day
That''s so cool!! I can''t do much cereal though. I need my protein and fiber in the morning or I''m starving by 10am. I do eat Frosted mini-wheats sometimes though.
How in the world did I forget my coffee?!? My stupid hand-me-down coffee maker broke last week (hooray!) but I was so desperate for coffee that morning (and a cheapskate!) that I suffered through my husband''s old instant! But now I have a good coffee maker with a timer.
I love love love love LOVE being vegetarian!! I''ve never cared for eating meat (the taste and texture
14.gif
..... just aren''t for me), even as a small child, and I can get my daily servings of fruits and veggies easily. Actually being a *good* vegetarian helped me lose over 15 pounds last year (i.e. easing up on my carb portions and increasing veggies). Not for everyone (like DH), but I love it!!
