Gary Braun gives his cuts very descriptive names. Ask Jeff, he mght surprise you. And it' s hardly trivial.

Daniel Davies responded to my inquiry and says it's a "modified square brilliant".
I may have him cut me a cerulean blue spinel in that shape.

"Custom" cut is the norm for Jeff D's stones (and I have purchased quite a few from him in the past)!
