Ours are eggplant/plum, ivory and gold! We are getting married next Friday in a castle!

chocolate brown and some sort of beachy blue... yet to be found.

banana (think the inside of a banana...not the outside), cream, gold, and very small hints of sky blue.
We''re getting married/reception on a lake in august.

Jcrow, I love the colors. I am thinking of having a fall wedding (in 2008) and those colors are gorgeous! I was thinking of maybe substituting the deep red for an eggplant. What color are your bridesmaid''s dresses going to be?

thanks! my wedding has already passed. you can find pics on here...
the bm dresses were the champagne-taupe color. the flowers were deep red.

My colors are chocolate brown and periwinkle with lilies of the valley and white tulips for flowers. Well that''s the plan anyway...

Pale green, brown, and champagne with touches of pale pink and ivory.

We''re getting married at the end of next month and tried to pull in elements of the wedding into the color scheme. Mostly we just went with fall colors, which are in the bouquets.

we''re also using colors from the venue itself, which is a lot of terra cotta.

While an "offical" decision hasn't been made yet as to the color scheme, my FI and I have talked about light blue as the main color with accents in yellow, greens and white. This is for a late spring/early summer wedding in a historical all-white church and reception under a white tent on a lawn. Something like the photo below (shamelessly stolen from some Martha Stewart publication):

And finally we wanted to incorporate oranges because we''re having a clambake for the reception:

new england--we''re also marrying end of sept.
what color are your bm dresses and centerpieces?

I got married in September 2001 and we didn't have a specific color scheme. Since it was autumn, we just wanted rich, bright hues everywhere. My bouquet and all the flowers were a colorful blend of burnt orange, fuschia, red, and marigold. My bridesmaids wore neutral oyster-taupe dresses, which set off the colorful bouquets beautifully. Our wedding coordinator chose deep, burnt orange brocade table cloths with metallic gold threading, and the floral centerpieces were basically larger versions of the bridesmaids' colorful bouquets.

So instead of specific colors, I wanted more of a "feel." I wanted festive with a deep, rich autumn-like atmosphere...and that's what I got!

Our colors for our 9/8 wedding are black and white with red accents. The bridesmaid dresses are black, FI has a red vest and tie, the groomsmen have silver vests and ties and our huppah holders have black vests and ties. The only red is really going to be in the flowers and FI''s outfit.

This is kind of gigantic, but you inspired me to FINALLY compile a bunch of my inspiration pics.

Here is mine. Still in the "visualization" stage, as the wedding is 14 months away. Can you tell I like orange?? Good thing FI does, too

ETA: The colors don't look the same as they do in my photoshop window, but you get the idea!

Our colors were shades of deep purple and red... and the BMs wore black. You can see my bouquet in my avatar, but here's another pic with the girls and our bouquets... I LOVED the contrast of their black dresses with my white dress, and the rich colors of the flowers:

Wow, lovely colours so far. Ours will be fuchsia, lime green, and cream.

We are using light green, ivory, melon/orange roses, and possibly some yellow thrown in

We are having an outdoor ceremony and reception at my aunt''s home next June.

white, black w/ purple accents.

I let the venue set the colour scheme. Cream and black as base colours. Then popping bright deep RED flowers and ribbon for decorations. I know the place looks a little dark in this pic. But it really is GORGEOUS. In teh front there are floor to ceiling windows and the whole place just... works.

Here''s a pic I found of some fabric roughly in that colour scheme so you can see how they fit together.

IG -- I loooove that red, cream, and black combo! Very regal, elegant, and dramatic!!!!

Why thank you! I like it TOOOO! And FI is happy because it's anything but purple. I love purple. He hates purple.

Last night I sewed up a ring cushion in cream coloured silk and I'm going to buy some black and red ribbon for it. That will seal the deal, colour scheme wise, and I'll take a pic when it's done.

I''m going with burnt orange, yellow, ivory and sage green.

For centrepieces I''m having gold pedestal bowls with tropical fruit and bunches of grapes piled in them and some ivy round the stem of the base.

I''m then using dried orange slices in the garlands that will be in the venue along with roses, chili peppers, berries, grapes, gerbera daisies and lots of ivy.

Although it''s an end of July wedding I really looked at what was growing this year and it looks almost like early autumn here. Hedgerows full of berries and rosehips so it won''t look out of place having fall type colours.

Also the HUGE painting behind the ''altar'' bit is of a medieval battle scene and the people are wearing orange and yellow silks and there is a great big white horse in the centre so that should pick the colours up quite well.

I''m amazed how many of us are going for these kind of colours when you think that 75% of brides go for pink!
