How do you pronounce benitoite?

Hi Athena, I think it's pronounced buh-nee-toh-ahyt or ben-ee-toe-ite.
Before PS my favorite CS was black opal-the kind that exhibits amazing deep colors not the paler kind that doesn't seem to have any personality. However now I cannot just pick one as I love rubiesand sapphires
and it seems I must get more acquainted with spinels since they are a popular PS favorite!!!

I stalk Litnon because of this. I may contact him some day. I'm waiting for the right stone to find me...for now.minousbijoux|1382844698|3545406 said:GregS|1382835108|3545319 said:
Interesting that there is a such a huge price differential in the cost per carat for Russian demantoids over and under a carat. I would definitely think that for the money, a demantoid of .5-.75ct would be the way to go. I'm sure you are checking in with Michael at Litnon since he seems to specialize in them?
