Hi ladies,

I''ve been lurking for ages, and I really enjoy drawing from your wisdom on all things wedding-related. Just wondering if anyone has suggestions for what type of veil to wear with my dress. It''s Casablanca 1918. Here''s a picture: http://www.casablancabridal.com/collections/view/1/9. (sorry I couldn''t get the file upload to work)

I''m going for a romantic vibe, not so much vintage. I was wondering if you think a drop veil would look good with my dress, or if that would be too plain?

Also, I''m only 5''2"-- any length suggestions? I want to order some options from veilshop.com so that I can try them with my dress when it arrives in a few weeks.

Thanks!!

Your dress is very simple (despite the lace) and I think it gives you a lot of options where the veil is concerned. I'm thinking elbow length or longer would be nice, but I also think you have a lot of room to play with that style, and to go for the length that feels most bridal to you. You might consider going to your local yardage store and buying a few yards of tulle. For less than $10,you'll be able to play with various lengths to your heart's content, an I'm sure you'll find other uses for the tulle when you're done!

BTW I think something with a bit of a lace trim would be really nice with your beautiful dress!

love your dress, btw. I agree that a simple tulle, elbow length or a bit longer would be great. I would wait for the dress to arrive, then try on some veils at the wedding shop -- they always have endless samples -- to see what clicks for you! let us know what you decide!
