What shiny would you rather have...

MTG so help me I swear if you do not buy that ring I will.

...but as long as I get to ogle it in the event that there's ever another Philly/NJ GTG, I will be content. The tsav's a beauty too, and for myself I would probably give it the edge, but if you want a Leon then this seems like a great opportunity to grab one.

ooooh is that irishgirl's leon? I've had that in my picture folder for years - hands down that one!!!! love it

I would go for the Leon. The sapphire is much better for everyday wear, and while the tsav is pretty, The fact it is a softer stone and a pair shape would make me more nervous to wear it to work.

The blue one.

The tsav. That green makes me sing.

Do you LOVE the style of the Leon or is it more that it's a LEON and it's (relatively) cheap? If you adore the style, then get the sapphire. If you don't and you just want it because it's a Leon and because it's well priced, then...tsavorite.

umm hmm that is a very very difficult one

hmm

haaa

i don't know...

THE AMAZING LEON SAPPHIRE OF COURSE

Totally agree with Freke. I would venture to guess that if that sapphire ring was just made by some local jeweler, many would feel that it's overpriced. But, if you're enthralled with Leon's work, and you think you couldn't recreate this exact piece for less, I would go for it.

A 1.6 ct perfect tsavorite pear at retail price.
Or a 3 stone Leon ring with a 3+ heated sapphire and diamond traps for about twice the price of the tsavorite?

Totally hypothetical of course :Up_to_something:

Alright...spill the beans! The Leon is now SOLD! Did you buy it?! :naughty:

If not, I still hope it went to a PSer! 8)

Whoever bought that ring is going to have to deal with Leon. I'm sure I read that the stone had become loose and needed to be fixed by him?

Maisie: I read that too. Hopefully because it's just a tightening it won't be to much of a task to deal with Leon. Although the more I read about him, the more I think I'm not going to use him for any projects ever and the only way I'll own one is pre-owned. That nice Leon with the yellow diamond is a size 4...now if only I had 19k lol.

The leon! My heart pitter patters when I see that ring.

Where does one find a "used" Leon or other such beautiful jewelry, pray tell.

Jewels by erica grace has at least 2 Leons at the moment that I know of.
I think this is the ring everyone else is referring to. If not, I'm totally lost

The Leon!!!!

I actually did not get the Leon.

I decided to set my star sapphire and a few other things set instead. I also got a new tsavorite and opal, hehe.
But I decided against it partially because I didn't want to deal with Leon over the loose stone, partially because I realized I didn't really didn't want to break my policy of non-heated/non-treated gems (even my tanzanite is unheated).

But I also do hope another PSer got it!
