What should I do?

Daniel M had been pretty responsive and pleasant to work with so far this year. I think some members had some issues with him a couple years ago, but it looks like he has been making a fresh start for himself.

Thanks for that @voce. Would you be able to comment on his workmanship?

What do you mean by workmanship? I think his soldering skills are up to the task.

This is a ring he did for me recently, where each wing is made of three pieces of silver wire burnished with diamonds. Add someone who had soldered electronic parts before, I would say he has a steady hand, as the above design isn't that easy to fabricate. None of the rings I have from him feel uncomfortable to wear or feel shoddily made. He's done a lot of rings and pendants through his Etsy shop... Can't say I remember seeing earrings from him, but for a ring conversion I'd say it would be a piece of cake for him.

Has he made mistakes before? Yes, no one is perfect. He chipped one of five spinels he vessels for me, but he was super up front about it and did his best to fix it by covering up the chip, and he did not charge me for the flawed work. Another observation is that he doesn't seem to do the pointy sharp prongs, just the rounded end ones.

As you're not touching the halo, and the earrings just need soldering to become rings, I would recommend Daniel M most profusely.

Thank you for sharing your experiences with him. It will indeed be just creating bands by attaching the shank to the gallery. I appreciate that he is a good communicator which is so important in any kind of transaction.

I would personally have zero reservations about Daniel M. I have purchased a necklace and earrings from him for my mom, they were an in-stock item, and they are great. She loves them. I also sent him my sunstone to set in a ring, the u prong, and it turned out beautifully. I have another project in the works now. He is super responsive, reasonably priced, and stylish. I don’t think you can go wrong.

Thanks! I decided to go with him and are sending him my earrings tomorrow!

Here they are- the earrings to rings made my Daniel M. He was super quick to make these and ship them back.

Well would you look at that!! They turned out beautifully! I'm glad you didn't reset, these look fantastic as is!! Love them <3

Glad you kept the halos. I love both rings because either orientation looks good.

These are lovely. They make really pretty rings.

Wow, those are seriously gorgeous rings. They are much bigger than I initially thought.

That what I thought too! When she posted the rings, I was like- ohhh, that's why she didn't want them as earrings any longer.

They came out fantastic!

They are definitely bigger as rings I feel like! And my ears are small, the earrings looked kind of ridiculous on me!

Great job! They look fantastic, and what a good idea to do both E-W and N-S.
