What Style of Eternity With My Pear?

After much thought & consideration following on from my post in RT, I have been wearing my eternity ring on my RH for a couple of days & have to agree, it looks nicer & I'm getting used to the idea of splitting up my treasures.

I've had a word with my other half, and a new full eternity for my LH is not totally out of the question, enabling me to get something that fits the over all look better. This also allowed me to mention acquiring new eternity rings to stack on my RH  (Thanks Enerchi, Niel & Christina!)

I am obviously thinking channel set of around 2.5mm wide, but what type of cut do you think? Round would be the obvious choice, but what about princess, asscher or emerald?? I'm not a matchy matchy person. Pics of the wedding band & pear below & eternity on RH.

GORGEOUS rings, Alex! I love pears.

I love channel-set princesses because you get an entire surface of diamonds with no breaks, since the squares slot together. Here's an example of what I mean:

OR, most unusual, Blue Nile actually has a channel-set Asscher band.

I also think that a baguette eternity would look great, but you can't really find them in the States. Whenever I Google them, what comes up is always in the UK. I guess a PS vendor could make one for you. It just doesn't seem like a popular style in the U.S. but I think they're gorgeous, and probably no one else would have one:

Thank you ladies! Niel, I'm actually considering a bezel band to add to my RH collection of the future :D
Smith - I am in the UK like you, and have seen lots of baguette eternities here, particularly E-W set in a line, which I love. Also loving emerald cuts N-S, so like with the princess, its just one smooth pavement but with step cut flashes.

So I take it you both think no to rounds? I'm glad if so, as it would be the obvious choice to match the shoulders of the pear, but I'm kind of steering away from it as long as the new band is channel set :))

Smith - P.S. I saw your new eternity actually when you first posted it. I love it

Yeah sense I know you like non matchy matchy. I do as well. I think at least having one thing the same is similar enough that they would go together, but different enough to add a bit of interest. So, for me at least, I'd either go rounds in a different type setting (like the bezel). Or Chanel set but a different cut(I like the tiny little asshers)

Niel, you have come to know me so well already :))
Like your thinking...

Alex - I didn't mean "no" to rounds - I think rounds would look very nice. I was just thinking of alternatives as you said you weren't matchy-matchy, but I think rounds could work very well. However, I also think that a different stone could really make your e-ring pop, like what we mentioned above about asscher or princess bands. But rounds are good too! Probably more sparkle for your buck with princesses or baguettes though.

Oh, yay!!! I vote channel set rounds!
