So, I reset my e-ring into the Novela setting from BGD. Turns out, my current wedding band, which was custom made for the original e-ring, sits up too high. Therefore, although the wedding band is u-prong, it sits up high enough and hits my Novela at an angle which would cause the diamonds in the wedding band to rub against the e-ring. I''ve been wearing a spacer band for now, but it''s a lot of ring and I don''t have a lot of real estate on my fingers.

So, I''ve been pondering my options.
1) Get a custom made platinum spacer that is 1.5 mm to wear between the e-ring and wedding band. I''m wearing a 2 mm now though, so I''m not sure if it''ll make a big difference.

2) Move the wedding band to the right hand, and get a new wedding band. This is a fun option, but pricey and something that I''d have to save up for awhile. And just as a side note, my husband is much more sentimental about my e-ring than my wedding band, so getting a new one I don''t think is going to be a big issue. He has more of an issue about me wanting more jewelry, haha!

Which leads to another question.
If I get a new wedding band, what do I go for?

I was at Tiffany''s to look at different band options. Not that I''d buy from there necessarily, but I wanted to see how thin bands looked in person.

1) Metro. I liked the Metro - super thin. If I wanted to go this route, I''d look to someone like LM for a string band in platinum. I could also stack it with the spacer and original wedding band on days I don''t wear my e-ring.

2) Novo. Not surprisingly, the Novo eternity band looked good with my ring. They look almost like a matched set. BGD now has a matching Novela band, which I could buy. That being said, I''m not exactly a matchy matchy type of person. But, it looks pretty good together. And blingy

3) Cartier XXS Trinity ring. Probably couldn''t be worn with my platinum band without a spacer. Which bring me back to the original problem. But I always wanted one and it''s the most affordable option right now.

or...

4) Be really bad, get the Trinity ring anyway, and save up for a new diamond band?

opinions?

Current wedding band on ring finger. Engagement ring on RH.

Can you get a 1 mm spacer and try that out? (maybe get a cheaper silver one just so you can see the look and if you like it, you can get a plat one)

Otherwise, if neither you nor your husband are sentimental about the w-band as much as the e-ring, I say move the w-band to the right hand and get a new band (or a couple thin ones) to wear with your e-ring. I like the idea of a couple Leon string bands - that would be gorgeous, complementary but not matchy-matchy with the Novela.

Why not have Brian use your existing diamonds to custom make a new band to accommodate your new e-ring?

I would buy a new WB, and get the matching one from BGD. If you want a trinity to wear other times, great, but not with the e-ring. I would also leave my wb sized so I could wear in on my RH. Lots of times I have worn only my original wb (which does not match my new er either), and you might like having that option.

Keep your original wb for sentimental reasons but buy a new one to wear with the new e-ring. Actually, that is what I did! I bought the 2mm Tiffany Legacy band and I love it!

I would wear the current wedding band on the right hand and get the matching band to go with your new e-ring. you can always get more rings to stack/mix and match for future gifts (although your hubby might not like that idea too much

Haha, I got an email from Lesley last night informing me about the matching Novela band. It must be a sign

I''d prefer to keep my wedding band as is. My wedding band is slightly larger, so it''s more comfortable to wear on my right hand than my e-ring. I''ve tried wearing my e-ring on my right and that hand is larger, so it''s not as comfortable.

Thanks for your opinions - I think I will save for the matching Novela. Considering that rings are the only jewelry I ask from him, it could be much worse for him!
