So, I reset my e-ring into the Novela setting from BGD. Turns out, my current wedding band, which was custom made for the original e-ring, sits up too high. Therefore, although the wedding band is u-prong, it sits up high enough and hits my Novela at an angle which would cause the diamonds in the wedding band to rub against the e-ring. I''ve been wearing a spacer band for now, but it''s a lot of ring and I don''t have a lot of real estate on my fingers.
So, I''ve been pondering my options.
1) Get a custom made platinum spacer that is 1.5 mm to wear between the e-ring and wedding band. I''m wearing a 2 mm now though, so I''m not sure if it''ll make a big difference.
2) Move the wedding band to the right hand, and get a new wedding band. This is a fun option, but pricey and something that I''d have to save up for awhile. And just as a side note, my husband is much more sentimental about my e-ring than my wedding band, so getting a new one I don''t think is going to be a big issue. He has more of an issue about me wanting more jewelry, haha!
Which leads to another question.
If I get a new wedding band, what do I go for?
I was at Tiffany''s to look at different band options. Not that I''d buy from there necessarily, but I wanted to see how thin bands looked in person.
1) Metro. I liked the Metro - super thin. If I wanted to go this route, I''d look to someone like LM for a string band in platinum. I could also stack it with the spacer and original wedding band on days I don''t wear my e-ring.
2) Novo. Not surprisingly, the Novo eternity band looked good with my ring. They look almost like a matched set. BGD now has a matching Novela band, which I could buy. That being said, I''m not exactly a matchy matchy type of person. But, it looks pretty good together. And blingy
3) Cartier XXS Trinity ring. Probably couldn''t be worn with my platinum band without a spacer. Which bring me back to the original problem. But I always wanted one and it''s the most affordable option right now.
or...
4) Be really bad, get the Trinity ring anyway, and save up for a new diamond band?
opinions?
