What would you do with two .5 carat diamonds

I have 2 high end .5 ct diamond rounds that I had removed from a pair of gold earrings because I don`t wear studs. So I was thinking I could get 2 pear shaped stones, maybe champagne coloured tourmalines or spinels and make earrings. It would be nice if the earrings matched lots of clothing choices. I was thinking of putting them on either side of something like a sapphire for our 10 year anniversary ring, but I think I should use a pair of diamonds for earings and make a halo of diamonds for a ring. Ideas would be great! :twirl:

I would put them back into earrings and make several sets of removable drops, in different colours and cuts: cabs, faceted, briolettes - yumm and versatile!

Side stones for rings or pendants, or if you like leverbacks or dangling type earrings, have them reset as such.

I would do sidestones.

Oooh, those leverbacks are gorgeous. They would be good sidestones but I have not found any 3 stone settings I like. I am sure they are out there if you know of any on PS. Any ideas for a gorgeous centre stone? I have darker skin and prefer unheated stones and love colour change stones but am open to anything. They just have to be hard enough for daily wear. Our budget is around 1500.

Thanks Greg. I was hoping for a stone with a brilliant daytime colour like a sapphire. I do have a small alex that I love but have been disappointed in larger stones I have received. One was from Multicolour, and it was a great size but washed out. I started a new thread with links to stones I like if you want to look at that and tell me what you think.

I love leverbacks and recently had (2) 5mm color change sapphires mounted into leverbacks but gosh they look small in my ears.
I also own (2) 5mm diamonds in a ring I inherited and have been thinking of how to use them since they are sparkly and most importantly cost-free. I think if they were in a flower type setting they'd look big enough for earrings but so far I haven't found the right leverback setting that would do them justice. They may be destined as sidestones in a ring.
