My top 2 Christmas list wishes would be:

1. Diamond pendant necklace with halo--around .9 carat for the center stone.
2. Modern looking fur coat. I am allergic to wool and it's cold here in northern Indiana in the winter! I have some down coats but they just aren't dressy.

And since I won't get either of these...]

3. Time alone in my house to do what I want. Oddly enough, I'd really like alone time to put on music I like and organize...slowly.

Trip to New Zealand for first quarter of 2006! This would be a joint gift for my husband and myself.

Since you asked!

1. Ultrasonic Jewlery Cleaner
2. Gucci Purse with matching wallet
3. Movado watch

I will only get #1 but that''s ok. A girl can dream can''t she??

this year has been kind to me; my mom even found out this weekend she got a job she wanted!
so, health and happiness for my family,
and a Big ol'' Peace on Earth, Good Will to Men!

-- Books! There are so many on my list!! (Yes, I keep a list in Word)
This is a great idea. Maybe i should do this. Every time I run across a book that sounds like it''d be good, I just go ahead and buy it because I"m afraid if i don''t get it then, I''ll forget about it. As a result, there are huge piles of books waiting to be read. I cannot keep track of them all!

Possibly I should ask for another bookcase for Christmas?

Oh, and to add to my list. The only other piece of jewelry I want right now, aside from an eternity band, is a bigger pair of studs. I''ve been checking the prices at WF, but am looking at .80 TCW, which requires a secret savings account to save up $ in. This may take a year, which is okay, because by then my DH will be more open to yet MORE jewelery

oh yeh- i remember something else on my list.

black ceramic knives. i noticed target.com had some...

I posted on someone''s Birthday thread that I''m really low maintenance, and I wasn''t lying.....I can''t think of a single thing that I want for Christmas. Dh usually surprises me with something nice, but not outrageously expensive because we spend our $$ on the kids. Last year I got a pair of Kenneth Cole Boots, totally unexpected, but much appreciated.

"If" I HAD to pick something, I''d probably want a joint gift of a new mattress for our bed. Both dh and I have chronic back pain from sleeping on that piece of (Bleep) mattress!

Hey Sundial,
I live in New Zealand! Our summer starts in December so its always barbeques and picnics for Christmas over here.

Well, we don''t celebrate Christmas but we''re going on holiday oerseas next month and that means shopping! On my wishlist is:

Anika

Anika we were lucky enough to spend a couple of days in Queenstown several years ago when we were on our way to vacation in Australia and have always wanted to return. This time we want to stay longer and do a combination of driving and flying on both the north and south island.

Hope you enjoy your shopping trip!!!

The new Tag Heuer chronograph watch with diamond dial & bezel. That is my new dream item for now.

Hey Sundial,

Hello anika!

Off topic!! - Are u from north or south island? I will be in Auckland this wkend for a friend''s birthday - where is a good place to shop out of the city? We''ll be staying in the north shore (takapuna) this time. Are there any good places nearby?

Thanks!

Hmmmm...

I would like:

- e-ring
- diamond solitaire pendant or an initial M diamond set pendant
- gift voucher for a day spa indulgence
- a new pink handbag and wallet
- a ski trip to Fernie, BC (but it''s not happening this year )
39.gif

- some new shoes (a girl can never have enough!)
- a gift voucher for Veronika Maine (for those not in Australia, she designs lovely clothes!) and ditto for Alannah Hill!

But, really, I got the best present this year already. My partner!

Hi Jadeleaves,
I''m from Auckland. Shoppingwise, on the North Shore there is the Westfield mall in Takapuna. But really its just another westfield. Aucklands trendiest or upmarket shopping is New Market and around the Chancery Square and Queen street. Heres where you will find NZ designers. Some shops also on Ponsonby Road.
Depends what you are after. Let me know!

Anika.

A new TV. I think I''ll be getting an LCD one for my bedroom. I''ve had a 13" TV for ages and it drives me crazy when I''m trying to watch a foreign movie.

Maybe a new bed, like jaysonsmom. I really like the Sleep Number mattresses.

2> I want a new digital camera
3> I want a DVD burner for my MAC
4> A triple string Pearl bracelet.
5> The movie Finding Neverland, What Dreams May Come ands Sommersby
6> Would love an Ipod... but really do not need one

I rarely receive a Christmas present, except a gift certificate from my parents. Last year my darling great nephew gave me candles and candlesticks. It completely took me by surprise!

This year I am receiving a Christmas gift. My parents are going to give me a pencil drawing (which is the medium I wanted) of my daughter. If all goes well, this will be drawn by Susan Durkee in Connecticut. I thought I wanted an oil portrait of my daughter, but I looked at many oil portraits in the ''net. I truly prefer a good, artistically taken, photograph to any of the oil portraits I saw. The pencil sketches, on the other hand, spoke to me!

I will post one or two of the drawings that made me fall in love with this artist. None of these portraits is of my daughter! Each is just a sample of the artist''s work.

This is another pencil sketch by Susan Durkee.

This, also, is by Susan Durkee.

Wow...tough.

1) Pear Sidestones
2) a great purse. Coach maybe.
3) $2K to pay off my credit card (wedding and remodeling debt)
4) A weekend trip with the hubby

I might be interested in a cool new celly as well.

He would most likely ask for a weekend at home away from me. Since he works at home and Im high-pressure "we gotta do this this and this" he feels like he has no alone-time. Which I guess I can understand.

I am trying to repost the first sketch in a more reasonable size.

Deb, those are beautiful drawings. Make sure you post your daughter''s after christmas!

Haha yes, if I didn''t do that, I''d lose track of so many things that looked good to me at one time or another, when I have too much on my plate already to read.

ABGF, those drawings are beautiful...does she do them from a photo? Got me wondering if that is something my mom would want of my brothers & I....

Well, I feel bad saying what I want for christmas, so instead, what I''d like are: My E-Ring (I saw the card with the jeweler''s name and number written on it, but nothing for our 2 yr ann. last night, maybe my birthday on Saturday?), my dog to stop chewing the nubbies off my shoelaces, a Coach bag from the now too late spring line (green with ladybugs!!!
30.gif
), a new pair of glasses, so many books (I look them up on my local library''s website and order them, I save hundreds of dollars that way) the Calvin and Hobbes collection, and a monkey. Not too greedy, I think.

snow!

belle, that''s funny, fat chance of that!! But one can wish!!
3.gif

Since we recently married and booked our belated honeymoon for late January, DH and I decided not to exchange gifts.
8.gif
If I could ask for something it would be new bedroom furniture - I'm tired of the hodgepodge of styles. I'll just have to work on that after we've returned from our trip.

My b-day is 3 days before x-mas so I need to find something I like that will make up for no x-mas gift.

E-RING!!!
But I''m probably not going to get it. I''m most probably going to get very practical things like cutlery for my apartment and DVDs and CDs and books and such. Which is still very nice. But... stop saying you''re going to propose and DO IT already!!! /rant
Sorry.

Ok Christmas has come and gone - what did u get that was on your wishlist?

haha jade that's so funny because i went back and looked at my list and it had totally changed from when i posted it...well on what was realistic that is!! well we did get #...property taxes paid...hehee...and i got a new right hand ring which wasn't even ON the list, it was more of a fun purchase. still working on the other items, got lots of gift cards and an iPod shuffle (greg got one too from his sister!) and hopefully diamond hoop earrings in the next month or two.
