It is cold and raining here and chance of snow tonight

. I do love the rain; it's perfect hot cocoa weather.

Just curious what it's like in your neighborhood.

ETA: I am here in the middle of NM.

We did have a lot of snow but it all melted yesterday. So now it''s a cold, wet, muddy mess here. Kucky. I''m in DF''s sweats!

It was 80 and sunny this afternoon...

We live on the SE coast of Houston. "Lucky" us
39.gif
, the cold front that dropped all of texas to about 30/40 stopped on the northern part of downtown... so it has been 70/80's all of December. And the humidity has been above 85% except for maybe a week in early Nov.
Luckily I escaped to Dallas for a family Thanksgiving, and got to experience a few hours of snow.

I am in SERIOUS need of WINTER!!! I'm going crazy!!!

Yep, I''m with Meresal
Icky, sticky, Houston!!

we are all waiting for a blast of cooler air this week
heck, I''d even welcome a few inches of rain.

but really, who can get in the Christmas spirit when it''s
this hot outside and we are all running our air conditioners!

Brrrrrr, it''s soooo cold here!
39.gif
It''s currently about 20-25 degrees. We had a snow day last Monday and we had a two hour delay today, due to icy road conditions after some snow fell in the middle of the night. We only got an inch or two of snow though. I heard that this week will be kind of crazy over here in northern New England, weather-wise.

It''s days like this that I curse living here.

There has been freezing rain all over the state (MO), it has stopped, but is supposed to start again later tonight. I normally enjoy cuddling up in cold weather, but my fiance is a lineman, so he is up north helping restore power, and i''m lonely. I'' m not sure when he''ll be home, but he is making really great money working overtime, so i get to go get a new diamond setting for my ring this weekend! YAY!

I'm in Dallas in that cold front, and it's frickin' COLD here (for Dallas). Highs at 40ish, cloudy, drizzly all day, with a pretty heavy fog.

I'm miserable - I was loving the 70 degree days!

36 and drizzle...ewwwwww

D-TOWN here too Lauren, when is the G2G?

It''s raining here too, been dismal for the past few days. I want to see the sun!!!
10.gif

its been really cold for this area lately. during the day it''s about 60-65 which is typical, but at night it gets down to 35-40 which is REALLY cold for us at this time of year. not enough rain right now either so it''s quite dry. when the sun goes down, brr!!! we usually go out for walks in the evenings and the other night we went out and my toes were freezing (open toed shoes)...so we said forget it. last nite we were getting dinner and waiting for our takeout and we had portia and her little ears were so cold. i am going to have to start putting her sweaters on!

Today I have seen the weirdest weather ever. Saturday night it got a little icy, and it rained all day on Sunday. Sunday night another ice storm came. I guess the weight of the ice has caused thousands of trees all over to split in half, lose limbs, etc. You have to drive in zig zags across the streets. The only place with power is the library. It''s very hard to study for finals without heat or electricity!

Spitty rain, fog, bone-chilling damp 40+ degrees. Ick.

This is why my ancestors left Scotland and Ireland; they hated this crap!
28.gif

32 here. We have had freezing rain off and on for three days now. The lines are iced up, as are the trees.

So far, obviously, we have power. We''ve had the threat of it going out, again, since last night. But it looks like we''ll miss it....

BeBe--- Glad to know there''s someone else around these parts... and I''m doing a winter dance tonight. I''m starting to think we should have gotten a "Palm" christmas tree.
HappyFeet---- A new setting!?! Now that''s something to dance about!! Has PS ever had a GTG around here... I''m sure it could be pretty interesting!!

Laurenthepartier & iwannaprettyone--- Super jealous of you both... I lived in FW/A-town all my life, except for college. I can''t believe y''alls cold front stopped 40 minutes north of my house!! Did you all get snow on Thanksgiving also?

Here''s a picture of what my campus looks like right now.. Except those trees that are drooping in the picture have now lost limbs or split in half!

OMGosh!!! It''s so pretty, but I''m sorry about the lack on-and-off electricity.

OUPear that is a beautiful photo!

It was high 70s today. We are having a heat wave. It was warm yesterday and is suppose to be warm tomorrow as well. I LOVE it!!! I am in Charlotte, NC.

Highs 65-69 this week, and sunny!

That said, I've still been wearing sweaters and boots every day. Go figure!

What a shame. It may be kinda pretty now, but it sure won''t be after everything finally melts.

I have come to utterly despise ice.

Oh that picture is gorgeous. Should be on a post card.

Here it northern Calif, it is 55, at night it gets down to 35, burrrrrrrr. Next week, I heard it is supposed to get down to 44 during the day.

Linda

It is around 50 degrees today it will be in 30''s tonight. I''m tired of the news stations (Specifically channel 3
11.gif
) saying "Oh we may get snow or we may see a flake or two." They always get the weather wrong. It is usually the exact opposite of whatever they say.

Ditto. It is beautiful, but I''m sure it''s a PITA too.

In NYC it is 39 degrees F and drizzly rain. Not enough to need an umbrella, but enough to be yucky. We are going to have rain for the next couple days. Blech.

It''s 35 here and really nasty icy wind.

I HATE winter in the UK.

I love looking at snow when I''m nice and warm inside, but we hardly ever get any here.
15.gif

It''s chilly! But at least it''s stopped raining-we had such bad rain here for the past week.

Sucks. Ice storm overnight. It cleared up a bit today and some treated roads melted. Two more storms coming this week.

It''s not just cleaning up that''s a PITA, it''s the view that''s left. We had a storm last year this time that looked just like that. It broke the tops off SO many trees around town, pretty ugly really.
40.gif
Not to mention the cracking of limbs/trees for days that scared the youknowwhat out of you....
