Seems like a ton of BGD stones have a lot of flouresence..and i see plenty of posts about it lately too..

i thought its good for stones with a little color to show whiter, but are there other benefits? why would someone choose strong blue over none? just their taste? to save money?

I just think it is a really cool effect - I have a D w/ SB fluor, and I love it so much I wish all my diamonds had it!

It does have a whitening effect for near colorless or slightly tinted stones. And also it CAN cause a milky or oily effect, so it is deemed as an undesirable trait, making it slightly cheaper than the same stone without flour. BUT. It by no means akways has a negative effect and when it doesnt all you get are the positive effects of a lower colored stone looking whiter in some lights (also the nerd in me thinks its awesome)

Tastes. Precision cut RBs w/ fluor can be difficult to find elsewhere.

BGD Blues do have premiums so I don't think people looking to prioritise pricepoint would choose that route.
