Favorite tea, hands down, is Eden''s kukicha twig tea. Yummmmmm.

Starbucks: Iced sweetened black tea.
Coffee Bean: Moroccan Mint latte.

But you can''t beat plain ol'' steeped tea!

Yeah for Musey likin tea too!

The reason I like the cinnamon dolce latte (sugar free and non fat) is that it is not tons of cals but also it does not taste burned. I heard that the beans taste that way intentionally! Euuww... Peets I have heard great things about too...there are no Peets or Coffee Beans in Philly (yet)...

Lisa, I love thai iced tea but it has so much cream and sugar in it, yum how could that be bad?!

For you tea lovers --- do you put sugar in your tea? I used to drink tea regularly when I was younger and always added sugar. But nowadays as an adult (30s) I prefer it with no sugar!

I used to love English breakfast with cream and sugar.

Now I tend to do black without cream and maybe a splenda or two!

No sugar in my tea. In fact my sister in law lives in Savannah and I ordered an iced tea. I took a sip and said YUCK. My sister law said this is the SOUTH!!!! Sweet tea is a staple. This was at Wendy''s and they said they did not make unsweeted tea.

I don''t like cream either; just tea.

I love red tea. we''ve been trying a bunch of different brands and actually the one Lipton makes is probably my favorite but several of them were good.

not a big coffee drinker but normally order a mocha or a peppermint mocha around christmas. If i''m drinking calories I prefer it in the form of a Coke

If you ask for a regular coffee at McD''s in the east coast they will add cream and two sugars. dh drinks it black but did not want decaf so he asked for REGULAR meaning caffeinated, and would take a sip and go? WTF is this? It happened at probably 5 drive throughs (he needs his coffee while driving) and finally got it! Now they have signs up explaining it!

Does anyone do high tea?

My girlfriends and I go to this wonderful place called the St.James tearoom where you spend a couple of hours eating scones, tea sandwiches and sweets (I do it only a couples of times out of the year). I love all the teas and it feels so Regal doing it!!!

The Four Seasons in DC was soooo good for high tea.. AND for brunch. Yum. Must see about doing that soon out here. Sounds like a great anniversary treat come to think of it.

I totally agree! Also nice for Mother''s or Father''s day as long as you book well in advance...

*Shudders*... Mother's Day and Father's day and Valentines Day (when it falls on a weekend) are days I AVOID anyplace 'out' if I can.

Mother's Day we sometimes have to go out... I book two months in advance. Even then I dread it.

I told FI that I wanted either high tea or brunch at the Four Seasons in SF or Palo Alto...he just nodded. I also followed that up by saying "that's the only time I'm going to say that honey. I want it to be a surprise"... and he rolled his eyes...lol.

Although, I swear there is one in Half Moon Bay too. That's where my cousin got married... and where we usually stop for drinks and or tea when we are out there... maybe I'm thinking of another hotel out there too. Huh. That' my favorite hotel out here. Wonder what I'm confusing it with.

ETA: The Ritz is in Half Moon Bay. LOVE it there... I wonder if they do as nice a brunch or a high teas as the Four Seasons... nothing beats that view.

Ah... http://www.ritzcarlton.com/en/Properties/HalfMoonBay/Dining/TeaintheLibrary/Default.htm THEY DO!

Fourseasons Silicon Valley has a nicer brunch menu than SF. Neither has great views... and I saw no mention of high tea at either.

Ritz for tea. Definitely. Royal Tea, actually.

Well, Mother''s day is likely the WORST day to go to a restaurant. SInce we had kids, more often than not my hubby and I bar b que at home. Everyone in the world is out on Mother''s day, it is the one day to take mom out even if you neglect her all year. Most places are zoos and madhouses. Sometimes we do Sat or Sat night instead, it is a tad better. My mom is not big on the holiday, so we celebrate whenever we feel like it, and I am happy to hang out at home, dh lets me sleep in and cooks dinner, what could be better?!

I LOVE the tea in Chinese restaurants--without sugar.
I''m from the south, so all cold tea MUST have GOBS of sugar! lol

I''ve just "found" Splenda. I am putting it in everything. Anybody heard of any health reasons not to? I love about 3 packs in my cup of coffee--with a splash of 1/2 n 1/2. I used to put cream in my tea, which I still do--but my favorite tea is jasmine, witout cream or sugar.

I love it, it is made from sugar so supposed to be better, but of course I have heard a ton of negatives about all of the artifical sweetners. I need two in my coffee, and at Starbucks in the black iced tea I use one in the tall, two in the grande and three in the venti...it is a bit less potent than sweet and low. I HATE sweet and low now. Most every place you go now even Mc D''s has splenda. You can also buy it granulated loose and bake with it, I have never tried that but it could really save on calories. I never let my children have artificial stuff, but I love it. My friend carries it in her purse just in case!

I agree- I hate sweet and low--it has a bitter after taste and I'm concerned about all the negative media... I also don't let my kids have artificial sweetners. Oh, and the thing I carry in my purse is a pack of those skinny little single serving crystal light pckts you add to a bottle of water-those are great!-especially raspberry ice flavor.

Green Mountain Coffee - Wild Mountain Blueberry is the BEST!! I brew it at home in my Keurig one cup coffee brewer that I just love.

We have the Keurig too...I really like making on e cup at a time...

At home: World Market Kona Coffee... dash of sugar, splash of skim milk
Starbucks: Soy Milk Latte
Tea: Anything green I can get my hands on... no cream, no sugar, just tea!

I havent had any of the above for the last three months though!

I passed someone carrying Starbucks the other day and it smelled like HEAVEN!

Love Splenda. Way better even than the Equal I was using forever. Haven''t heard anything bad about it yet, as it is supposedly made from sugar. Have yet to bake with it though... And I saw they just came out with a ''brown sugar'' Splenda blend.

I like Millstone''s Foglifter for my morning coffee and I like Bigelo''s Red Raspberry tea for iced tea. I just fill my glass with ice water and put a tea bag in and let it steep cold. Very refreshing and doesn''t need any sweetner -- you could sweeten it, but I like it without.
