What's your favorite VC setting?

I’m working on a tweaked version
How exciting for you! Looking forward to see the result. Will you set a colored stone in your CvB setting or will you sell it?

And will you tell us what you will be tweaking?

I’ll most likely be setting a colored gemstone in the setting unless I find it too difficult finding or having one cut.

Diamondgirl5k, thank you for appreciating my ring! I cannot, however, take credit for it. Based on what I have seen on Pricescope, I must credit Karlien for this lovely setting. As I noted on her thread, I saw her ring on Facebook in the fall of 2017 and decided that that was the setting that I wanted. Thanks to Mrs-b, I was able to get a beautiful diamond and paired it with this setting. The workmanship is superb and I am delighted with the ring. I hope that you are able to get yours soon!,

I have always admired this soft cushion by Victor - this is MNS 12's ring and she chose a plain shank for it. I love the softness of the outline!

@bright ice , if I may ask: what have you not found in your new Caysie setting that you are willing to reset relatively soon? And what do you to get from your new VC setting?

@Acinom, I’m happy to answer this question. I hesitated to even start this thread because I knew it would raise suspicions but ultimately I wanted to see what most posters taste would be.

First off, the Caysie setting is an absolute masterpiece, the quality and workmanship is really top notch. I’ll definitely be using her for other projects, actually one about to be in process soon.
I’ve found in the short period that I’ve had it is that it’s just too massive of a ring for daily wear, especially in my work environment and it’s no ones doing but my own. I should have gone for a daintier/smaller halo. It’ll be a gorgeous RHR with the right colored/type gemstone for special occasions.

As for a VC setting, I prefer to not disclose at this time as we are still in the creation stage. I know what I want, it’ll have similarities to a couple of his current designs but a few twists/tweaks to make it different and “my own likes”.
As you know, I’ve owned 2 VC settings in the past and I have no doubts the next will be every bit as gorgeous as those, plus he’s such a pleasant person to work with, always open to suggestions/requests.

I hope this clears everyone’s suspicions ;)2

This is very exciting bright ice! I understand about wearability. I wholeheartedly agree with you. Victor is very open to creating something new and unique. And he’s just so easy to work with and communicative, makes the process painless. Added bonus is quick turn around time.
I’m looking forward to seeing your new collaboration.

Thanks for clarifying! Caysie’s setting is a masterpiece indeed and it looks gorgeous on you. But I can imagine it is too big & rich for everyday wear.

How exciting that you have two exciting projects to work on: one by Caysie and one by Victor. Looking forward to admire your two new beauties.

I indeed remember the two masterpieces that VC created for you! I have been inspired by your Sophia and other Sophia’s and I am enjoying mine every single day. Very exciting for you that you and Victor will come up with a new design that combines elements of previous designs.

I love Victor's tri-wire designs. Looking forward to your project.

Well, I say that's a win-win to have the beautiful CVB setting with a special colored gem and then a new VC setting for your gorgeous OEC!!!:appl:

YES! This!! I must say I'm a bit envious... I'd considered VC when I was first looking at halo settings for my original ering, but he was a little out of my budget at the time. I'm excited to see what you create with him!!

Update!!!
My new setting design elements are complete, work order officially placed, signed, deposit and diamond received by VC.

Even though the wait begins, I felt a big relief today feeling confident that it’s come together quite nicely. Now VC can make his magic happen!

So exciting!! His work is truly spectacular so I'm sure it will be stunning! I know you loved the first setting by cvb so I'm just curious why you moved onto VC instead?

@ac117 I wanted a hand forged setting this go around and since I’d worked with VC in the past it was a no brainer.
I have all intentions of continuing to work with CvB for other projects. I don’t want anyone thinking differently or that there’s a problem between us.
:geek2:

Hope the wait is not too long - should be worth it though! Can't wait to see this ring!

Very exciting bright ice! This wait will be tough for you! Can't wait to see it!
