OK, so this is probably a very stupid question, but I''m a bit lost here. Between me processing down the aisle and my FI smashing the glass (we''re Jewish), I''m a little confused about the order of things. We have vows that we''ve written, and there will be the seven blessings (Jewish tradition) in Hebrew and English before our vows, but then FI also really wants to say "I do" at some point, and I''m not sure where that comes or exactly how it works. If anyone has any resources they can point me to or experiences/suggestions from your own wedding, please share.

Thanks in advance ladies, and sorry to be so clueless about this!

I think you can kind of put them wherever you want...but typically it''s closer to the end than the beginning. I just looked online for traditional vows and then created our own from pieces and bits and then worked the I Do''s in as well nearer to the end. Good luck!

I think ours were fairly near the end; it was something like this.

-Officer gave a little speech about the solemnity & sanctity of marriage
-Asked DH to recite some vows about taking me as his wife
-Asked me to recite some similar but not same vows about taking DH as husband
-we both said our own little parts we had written
-"DH, do you take AB to be your wife?" I do
-"AB, do you take DH to be your husband?" I do
-ceremony and a few words about exchanging rings
-kiss the bride!

Good luck!

Thanks you guys - that does help to clarify!
