When did you join "The List"?

Hehehehe, the "Victorian Architecture" sign? LOVED IT! There was also one about smelting gold, and one about how the city of Edinburgh reserves the right to re-zone the area to private property at any time without notice, so if that happens, we're all there by invitation. And OMG, the orange couch thing. C actually took that picture because I was too busy wandering around in a daze, haha, but he now understands my love of all things chair/couch, and took the picture just in case I missed it. (Like I could miss it. But still.)

YES! That is awesome. I'm so infatuated with the chair/couch thing...the only thing I'd love more is if it were a yelllow/gold color because it would SOOO go with my yellow/gray bedroom and could be my 'dressing area' -- HAHAH. It was amazing.

I always felt like a LIW, and lurked PS's boards for the past 2 years or so. I finally caved in and officially joined PS and LIW when they came out with the PreLoved section, and I had to be a member to see the pretties. I, also like Peonia, felt it was fitting when it became a "when" not "if". I mean, you can't be a lady in WAITING, if you aren't even sure if it's coming!

Do what you feel like-- when, or if you even want to join the list I only joined so I can count how many spots I move. If only I had joined when we first started lurking PS! I'd be at a much "higher" spot now!

I think it would be fun, but I think if I do rejoin it'll be closer to it actually happening and I know we are a ways out from that just yet.

Great thread! I've lurked for maybe a year or so, have always been interested in jewelry so naturally I love learning everything there is to learn about diamonds and rings. DBF and I haven't ever had an official "talk" about marriage but I've tried to bring it up a couple times in the past and he was always indifferent or didn't want to talk about it but lately when we talk about the future he's a lot more willing to talk about it and at least entertain ideas of what will happen to us after graduation since that's getting closer. I just joined PS finally about a month ago because I was bored and needed a study distraction hehe. I've posted a bit in some other forums but this one is more dedicated to diamond education which is what I like, rather than feel guilty about choosing diamonds over alternatives/stimulants/cz. Yay PS!!

Wellll i officially joined "the list" a few days ago. After a 6 year emotionally draining toxic relationship, a crapload of 1st dates and a couple "few month-ers" (as i call them), i took the plunge went on match.com. Little did i know the person i met from there would be my soulmate We clicked the first time we met and have been together ever since. We first started talking about marriage around 3 months. I moved in at 4 months. We have lived together for 4 months, so at 8 months we started ring shopping and decided on my ring. I will not be seeing this ring for at least 1 year, which is perfectly fine with me, i want to be totally surprised with the proposal. We will have a long engagement since i do not want to get married while i'm still in school and we will be planning a very intimate beach wedding with only close family and our best friends standing up with us. I consider myself extremely lucky and blessed to have found him, and i'm just enjoying every minute of every day making new memories with him as we hit "milestones" (haha 8 months was my longest relationship since the 6 year one so we had to drink to that )

I joined the list when I first discovered this site. I discovered the site because I was asked by my SO to begin doing serious research about what kind of ring I wanted because he wanted to propose sometime in the near future. We were together for about 10 or 11 months then. I have currently been on the list for 2 months and hope to be engaged very soon!
