where am i now...

I figured an update was long overdue.. I am #3 on the LIW list, and hopefully it won''t be for much longer.
On my last update, the beau and I had just arrived from a trip down south...with no engagement as it was "too predictable".
Anyways, what has happened since? LOTS. (still not engaged though)...

He finished his school-ing, and had little luck finding a job in his designated trade in our city. I on the other hand, have a great steady well paying job.
What did we decide to do ? We are moving...accross country. It was a very quick realization, we applied for jobs and within a few days Dan had 5 job offers... I wasn''t exactly ready to have it go THIS fast but one of the offers was a solid and strong offer. They not only had a great salary package, but they also were offering to pay all of his start up tools which become very expensive.

So, it was finalized on Tuesday of this week, we are leaving in 2 weeks.
I have decided that I since we are moving to a large city, my skills and abiilities will become an asset for a lot of companies. My company has a pricing/head office to where we are going, so once there I will see what I can get set up.

Crazy eh? Yeah, I am very excited though, we live in the Maritimes (Canada) and we are moving to Calgary - I''ve been there and LOVE it.
We''ve decided to do the "cross Canada drive", and I can''t WAIT.
My best friend thinks Niagra falls may be a "special" time... and you know what? MAYBE!
I figure, since I am leaving a LOT here for him, and for his career (I would say mine too but I have no idea where I will stand once there)... that engagement could be the next step.

HECK, who knows!

Wow, that is a quick change, but it sounds like a great one! Best wishes on securing a job for yourself that you''re happy with, and congrats to your man on already getting one! And it''s so exciting to move to a new place, especially somewhere you''ve fallen in love with before! I''m so excited for you, congrats!!!

If you stop at Niagra Falls, you''ve gotta be on the lookout for the "Secret Garden". I''ve always thought it would be a perfect place for a proposal!!! And, even if no proposal, it''s still totally beautiful and romantic! It''s hard to find though. If you''re at the falls walking up the hill back towards the shops and hotels, it''s on the right side of the road. There''s a tall brick fence, and every so often there''s a little break in the fence (covered with leaves, ivy, green stuff), and there''s a little doorway that peeks into this garden. The garden is filled with pathways, little bridges walking over trickling streams, an amphitheatre, and a little shop/restaurant called the Secret Garden Restaurant. So, look for it! It''s my FAVORITE part of the falls! And, good luck with the move and hopefully a soon engagement!
