Hi there,
Im about to propose to my girlfriend soon, and I have been looking around for loose diamonds to fit onto a custom made setting.

That said, i will need an ASET and ideal scope to evaluate the light performance of my round brilliant diamond.

Where can i get these? I have tried searching everywhere, online, etc, but i cant find a seller here?

If anyone of you have it, can i loan it too?

Cheers

Thanks guys, other than these two locations, where else can i get them?

AGS themselves, AGS sell ASET scopes for a good price.

Not anymore.

$25 AGS members
$50 non-members

Plus about $13 for shipping.

Not sure when they raised prices but it was recently as I got mine for $25 as a non-member just a few months back.

This is somewhat annoying. You'd think a company that has the only objective and valid cut grade would be shoving these scopes down people's throats as a way to get them aware that cut quality matters. Trade members should get a nicer scope and charged more. A near free version for consumers should be available if they were really interested in educating customers at a higher level that will only pay them dividends in the end.

Good to know, it's a shame indeed.

@Garry H (Cut Nut), the IdealScope imventor, sells them to non-US customers via his website:

https://ideal-scope.com

Sledge is correct. I do not know if anyone in Singapore sells them, but I know that Garry's company can send one to you. If you are looking for a truly well cut diamond, the quick proof of good, or horrible cutting will be well worth the extra few dollars of shipping expenses.

Wink

No reason sir, just looking for more alternatives. Since jannpaul sells those scopes on its own, I would definitely go to jannpaul to have a look.

Jann Paul sell 'Super Ideal' Round diamonds, as well as the rare and amazing Octavia cut diamonds - make sure to ask to see examples of both, in a variety of lighting environments (spotlights, 'flat' uplighters, natural daylight by the window or outside), so you can learn how top-level diamond cuts perform!

You may be tempted to buy one - we are happy to help advise you if you can give us the GIA or AGS grading certificate numbers! :)

Use the Diamond Search bar at the top of this forum to understand what options are within your budget :)

anyway I checked with Jannpaul and they don’t sell the ASET scope. So yea they do sell the Super ideals, but what I’m looking for is: who in sg is selling the ASET and ideal scope.

Thanks all though really really appreciate all your kind and spontaneous replies ! So It’s either ags or ideal-scope.com now but just wondering are there more who sells this locally.

Oh I’m looking at this diamond also.

Crown Angle of 33% falls below PS-recommended parameters, so would likely give more white light return than coloured fire.

Parameters usually recommended on this forum are (if I remember correctly):

Table: 54-57% (53 or 58 should also work)
Crown Angle: 34-35 (35.5 with a 40.6 pavilion angle)
Pavilion Angle: 40.6 - 40.9
Depth: 60-62.3

I think that is correct?!

If you are only buying a round you can just use an idealscope which should be more readily available.

Jann Paul pricing will be more expensive than ACA or BGD inclusive of GST

Settings you can go to poh kim jewellery to make
