Where is your favorite place to see your ring sparkle?

I gotta go with elevators...I love when I am by myself in an elevator and can just watch the sparkles!

Oh yeah!! The ball parks have AWESOME lighting. Last year I went to a ballgame and watched my ring sparkle the whole time. Restaurants and planes are great too. Oh! The movie theater is awesome!!!

OK, everyone has already mentioned my favorites. Costco, Home Depot, Walmart, etc. One I haven''t see yet. High School gymnasiums. They have awesome lighting!

Now, how many of you will admit to almost walking into someone, something because you are looking down at your sparkly ring? I''ll raise my hand. I was walking into work today, looking at my ring in the sunlight as I was approaching the front door. I wasn''t looking straight ahead, but down at my hand and someone came out of the building as I approached and opened the door towards me. I almost walked into the edge of the open door! Would have hit me smack between the eyes. Thank goodness, I caught myself at the last minute. It was a guy who was walking out, so he had no clue what I was doing. He just thought I was a clutz!

Another one I''ve noticed is Pottery Barn - I can''t stand trying to look at their rugs under their lighting, but my ring is amazing!!!

I have a weird one - under a hawthorn bush! It really brings out the sparkles and little arrows it has although it isn''t a H&A cut, but my diamond really looks terrific there. Under trees seems to be a good place for viewing!

second that- my ring looks fantastic in our lecture hall. people across the room were asking if I got engaged!!

Everyone has mentioned my fav. spots... so I''ll go generic. Has anyone noticed that on cloudy, overcast days the diamond just turns blazingly white? It glows. In other light, I get tons of rainbows and white light -- but on cloudy days it glows white.

Other places I can think of... banks! The little rooms you go into with your safety deposit boxes -- have GREAT lighting. Same in the vault! Maybe it''s all the metal with the halogen lights.

Nordstrom lighting is great for diamonds. I love love love Tiffany lighting... Natual sunlight is the best at blinding people... Diamonds are so much fun. I have more fun with mine than any other girl toy I''ve ever had! Glad I''m not the only one!

When I am on my way to work from my aunt''s (babysitter''s) house, I used to drive under the train station and when it is just about to get dark, but not nightfall yet, I could see the arrows so crisply in my diamond. That''s where I love to see my ring.

I used to want to take a picture of it to post it here for others to see, but now I have to say, that I like keeping it all to myself!

Since I haven''t been taking the kids to the sitters, I have not driven under the train station for a long time now, since June, so I haven''t seen my diamond in that lighting for a long time!

This post is from ages ago, but I've been looking at my ring in the moonlight all week. I've been hunting out the darkest spots I can find and holding my ring out so the moonlight hits it. The fire is amazing especially since you can't see a whole lot else in the dark. There is a full moon out tonight so it should be pretty good. So the moonlight has to be my favorite, but really I like to look at it just about everywhere else too.

my absolute favorite is outside on the porch of FI''s parents house. they live out on a lake and there is plenty of shade from the trees. i noticed it the last time we were up there. the colors were so vivid and intense. i couldn''t believe the colors my diamond could produce. it''s intoxicating!

this reminds me of a great memory. FI and I had were returning from vegas where he popped the question and i was sitting next to the window. rainbow sparkles were everywhere! and we played a fun game of who-can-we-shine-on. fun times. teehee.

Tonight I was at the baseball game with my fiance, and my ring sparkled like crazy under the lights there! I had the same experience a few months ago at the hockey game. I think sports are so boring, but now I don''t mind going as I can just look at my ring!!

We were with a few of my fiance''s colleagues (all men) and even they noticed my sparkly ring! So funny!!

Took my ring to a baseball last week for the first time. I was staring at my ring the during the entire game. I was able to see all the arrows! Another favorite is supermarket. I also like to take my ring to Tiffany

I was next to Costco today at lunch and decided to take my ring in to see how it looked. Much to my disappointment none of the lights were on (except tiny lights at the jewelry counter) as they use dirty frosted skylights during the day to light the place up. I was pleased with the energy conservation, but I'll have to make sure I go at night next time. I was also heckled by a few guys at the jewelry counter as I was intently looking to see if any of the diamonds had arrows. One diamond looked like it had some arrows going so I was pretty absorbed and have no idea what they were saying.

I was just thinking about starting a thread like this! Mine is in the bathroom. The fire that comes off of my ring in their is amazing! Not all bathrooms, though, just the one in our apartment. Today in the car it was shooting fire like crazy too.

Actually, I think it''s when I whip out my camera to snap a few pix that he really starts losing patience...

- the hallway by my elevators (where I fortunately get to spend at least a few minutes every day!)
- a random golf club in Delaware where we had dinner one night
- arena at hockey games
- the ballroom of the wedding we attended last weekend
- Costco!

I'm glad we all play that game. I usually need a guide so I don't walk or bike into anything.

Ughh. I just know Costco would be fun if they turned on those giant lights! I feel jipped. At least I have the moon to look forward too.

Yes, yes....I didn''t know how to say it, but I''ve noticed when I take my Boxer, Bailey, outside in our yard where the mature oak trees are, the filtered sunlight through the trees makes my EC shimmer like water in a clear pool.
