I have several diamonds and i would like to sell. I dont know where. Take for example a 1.35 carat loose stone I have. Listed on here the least expensive is $3,700. Locally the diamond buyer offered me 1200. I would list it here if i could for 3,000 and wouldnt it sell right away? But i can't list on here can I?

None of them are graded and the ine listed is my best. What do yoy recomend?

I would advise you to get them appraised , get at least some basic info on color /clarity /weight. Bcs prices depend on many factors . I doubt anyone are willing to pay for something having no idea how the diamond looks like even on paper

This. No one is going to pay for a stone without any paperwork or proof that it's real.

You will be lucky if you can get half of the retail value. Also, appraisers often greatly inflate appraisals. I would ask for a realistic appraisal.

You can then list on LoupeTroop.com and/or diamondbistro.com and post about it in the Preloved PS Jewels forum here. Use PayPal for the protection of both you and the buyer.

No one is going to pay a decent amount on diamonds with no grading reports.
I would contact an independent appraiser to looks at them and see what you have and how much it would cost to get them graded by GIA and get an idea of a realistic value and crunch the numbers.
Neil and Dave are very highly recommended here and could help you.

You definately need to get them appraised ie a GIA report.
Selling “loose diamonds” is very hard as an ordinary person. You don’t have the same sales channels available and 99% of people buying diamonds will only buy from a totally reputable source. Without a proper report, no one will want to buy your diamonds, value is totally determined by carat, colour, cut and clarity without those details is your diamond worth $1,000 or $10,000? There is huge price differences depending on colour and clarity and unfortunately no one spend thousands on the basis of a photo or two.
If you get them lab reports, you might consider setting them into simple 4 prong gold setting. More people are inclined to buy a diamond ring rather than a loose diamond. It mightn’t improve the price you receive but it will improve its saleability.
And any pawn broker etc will offer you absolute bottom dollar, that’s their business model.
You could try selling through Loupe Troop or Diamond Bistro.

Good ideas .

Pictures? Inquiring minds and all

Where can I find the ‘preloved’ section? I can’t seem to find it? Thanks

There are appraisals and then there are reports issued by GIA/AGS. You want the report so you know exactly what you're dealing with. Appraisals are often so ridiculously inflated that they're meaningless on the secondhand market.

You mention several ‘facts’ that are in debate. In particular, you give a price for what you count as comparable and a weight. The least expensive 1.35 diamond is going to bring a LOT less than that, so you must also be making some assumptions about grading as well. What are they and where did you get this information?

You NEED to know what you have, and you need to be able to communicate that to your buyers in a way that they will believe you. How best to do that depends on what you have and who your buyers are. There are some articles, including some written by me, in the Articles section of this site. They’re free to read and may be helpful. A link is at the top of the page.

Fundamentally, yes it will probably benefit you to get a competent appraisal. It may ALSO benefit you to get GIA grading on some or all of your stones, but I wouldn't start there. These are not the same. Details like how time-pressured you are, how much time and money you are willing to invest in marketing, your risk tolerance, and how good you are at selling things are also going to come into play.
