Thanks girls.
Tberube - The Watters dress is lovely, but on reflection it doesn''t really do much for my figure. Well, certainly not the way the other two do!
Gypsy - the wedding is here in Ireland in a catholic church and the reception is in a country house hotel. There will be around 180 people sitting down to dinner at the reception.

I got a quote of $1475 plus shipping (don''t know how much shipping is yet..) from Rushs bridal.
Valcollections is $1200 including shipping, and I know she puts the value as less on the customs declaration so that I''ll pay less import duty on this side. But I should stay away from that site right?

I am going a little against the grain here, but I LOVE the 2nd dress. So romantic and elegant, the beading is lovely and the overall design! WOW.... Without seeing it on you, its hard to make a clear choice, but based on the photos, I vote 2.
Good luck!!

ok I''m totally biased as the anjolique dress is my dream dress and as soon as I start shopping at the end of the summer that''s the first dress I''m going to try on, so I vote for that one. I adore it!

Hey Bee*. Wait til you try on the 930....talk about doing amazing things for your figure! It really is a gorgeous dress. They both are.
I''m still leaning towards the Pronovias though....but that''s just because it''s more ''me''. It could just as easily have been the 930 (maybe it still will....still have to get my mothers opinion lol)

Has anyone heard anything good about valcollections at all??

Okay with your new comments I''m voting for 1. I like the Watters the best though, personally.

Hazel I'm not sure why no-one is providing any feedback on Val Collections but they must be just unknown around these parts! I did a quick Google search just now and the first page was all Val Collections' own sites, but on the second page I found their eBay feedback page (not so good I'm afraid) and a strange feature on a site called Rip Off Report - it looks like a copy and paste of a heated exchange between a bride who ordered a dress and Val Collections themselves. Again, not so good. Maybe someone can chime in with some feedback or with reputable review sites as I'm not sure how reputable that Rip Off Report site is. The eBay feedback site should be easy to find yourself.

I prefer the Pronovias- but that''s because it''s my dress! You might want to check Lee Phillip Bridals. I think they will ship outside the U.S. A friend of mine purchased her dress from them online and had a good experience.

Oooh I''m so happy to hear about that dress doing amazing things for a figure! I just love love love it. I can totally see what you mean about the Pronovias though. I think that it would be more me too and part of me is still not 100% sure about the anjolique purely as when I used to think about a wedding dress it would be an A-line one. There''s just something mesmorising about the anjolique though. When are you getting the mammys opinion?

I like the first one.

i like the anjolique, but i''m biased in favor of anjolique anyway (mine''s the 708)! i have a beer gut like a frat boy, but the boning in that dress did STELLAR things to my person, yet miraculously was still comfortable enough for me to sit in, so i''m in love! i also like that most of their dresses come with detachable straps included so you can change things up a bit. they''re both gorgeous, just really different.

Hey girls....
I''ve made appointments in the 2 bridal shops here so that I can bring my mum to see the dresses on me. Not until May 24th though as that is the next weekend we both have that''s free....

Can''t wait though. Will be making my mind up then but I''ve a feeling it will be the pronovias.

Hi girls. Well, I have to say, I''ve tried all of the places I''ve been recommended on this thread and here''s the lowdown:
RK Bridal : don''t stock Pronovias
Chrissy O Bridal: great communication...don''t stock Pronovias though...will order my BM dresses from them though
Rushs Bridal: $1480 plus shipping...was happy with this price until....
Lee Philips Bridal: $895 plus $75 shipping to Ireland, and I''ve read really good reviews on various site about this vendor so I''m really ecstatic!
Now, I''m going to have to get my mum down here sooner rather than later so I can order it asap.
Thank you all for your help.

I hope that you get to try it on sooner than May 24th! Tell your mother to cancel her other plans

oooo. Wish I would have heard of Lee Philips Bridal before I bought my pronovias Diamante... ;).

I was pretty happy though, I talked them down 20%, so it wasn''t too bad. I can''t wait to see pictures of you in the dress!

I usally prefer strapless gowns, but in this case, I like the first one better

good luck!
