Which of these 3 JA princesses is best? ASET images inside

I'm looking to place an order tomorrow morning. I just got the ASET images back from JA.

Here is the setting I'm going with:

Although I can't decide between Platinum and 14k and 18k gold. Is PT worth the extra $280 over 18k and $380 over 14k?

The gemologist said that the last one performed the best in terms of light performance. She also said that all of them were true I color.

She also said there was a chip on the crown of the 178639 diamond, although she said it was extremely small and could be covered when it was set with a prong. It still makes me nervous though to buy a chipped diamond.

Any thoughts?

Why's that? In their rankings, they said that one had the worst of the 3 light performance. They said it wasn't bad, but not as good as the other 2.

Chip is not a worry in this high clarity, VVS2.

Can you explain why that is? Would it be hard to see anyway?

Are you suggesting that the VVS2 is the one I should go for?

Because I prefer a smaller table and I would not buy a stone that's chipped. Anything can happen to a stone that isn't already chipped on it's own...

It would be impossible to see it. VVS2 chip is incredibly, impossibly small. No worries.

You should go with the one the gemologist suggested, it has the best ASET.

V-prongs are considered safer than the regular prongs, the corners are the most vulnerable part of a princess, JA will probably do that for you if you like. Any diamond can chip at any time... But with a slightly thick-thick girdle, I think you can go with whichever prong design you prefer. And look into insurance for the ring.

The faceting pattern is nice on the third one but I dont like the shape of the table (too square). I prefer tables that angle
more like the .83.

The .83 and the second stone asets look very similar and I can see a little more red in the third aset but...not fond of the
table. Its a personal thing...it may not bother you.
