Which of your pieces gets the most compliments?

HI:

I really don't get compliments. I haven't worn my emerald cross for ages, but that did garner some attention. Oh and my old radiant ER--I suspect bc of it's size. My Cartier sapphire ring has had it's fair share of comments, but mostly to say it "looks like Lady Di's " ring.

cheers--Sharon

Got any photos to share, @canuk-gal? Would love to see!

Would love to see pictures!

I’m afraid I don’t post pics on public fora because I custom design almost all of my jewelry so it’s actually rather identifiable; so I won’t post my actual coloured stone bracelet. I did find one that’s a similar idea on the internet though and post that if you like!

Mine is a similar style to this, except where this has clear stones in each head, mine has the 9 navratan stones (ruby, uncut diamond (polki), pearl, red coral, hessonite, blue sapphire, cat's eye, yellow sapphire, and emerald). All the coloured stones (except the polki and the pearl) are cabs.

As for the ring, I only have a bad pic of myself wearing it where you can see it clearly and I had to crop it quite a lot to get rid of “identifiable bits”, but hopefully gives you an idea of what it looks like!

I sure would compliment you if I saw you in that ring or a similar bracelet!

These are amazing! I appreciate you keeping your pieces private & can totally understand why. They are so intricate & ornate, so thank you for giving us an inkling as to what you wear. I would comment on them too if I ever saw you!

Oh gosh. Now that I know more, it is not even well made. Just Google "diamond ring" and you will see it a thousand times. :mrgreen2: The shank has a nice cross-section but where the head joins the shank is pretty clumsy-looking. Like if I posted it, you would all say "Oooh send that back." But: it is fairly sparkly.

My Almond Blossom ring is always viewed incredulously, being huge, unique and absolutely glorious.
I pair with her my Opal bracelet which is also unique and beautiful.
When talking “go big or go home”, no necklace compares to my huge Multicolour crystal bib necklace. I pair that with my Lalique Chameleon ring.

Thank you both!

To clarify btw, the style that I picked for the bracelet is actually an existing traditional Indian jewelry style. It’s called a “pacheli”, if you’re interested in looking up more. And the ring is also a super traditional style. To be perfectly honest, it’s not particularly well made, I have seen far better execution in other stores, I just loved it when I saw it and had to have it so I spontaneously bought it some years ago when gold was at a more reasonable price, lol.

The reason it surprises me that they get as many compliments as they do is that neither piece are/were particularly expensive, or particularly unique in india :D It made more sense to me for people to comment where I lived before. But I am not complaining, of course :D :D

Definitely the emerald cross, for a start. But ideally, your sapphire ring and your e-ring as well; your pieces are beautiful.

Here is a thread on the emerald cross/earrings. I no longer have the 6.25 ctw diamond ER, but there is a picture of it on a banana somewhere....LOL And no thread on the sapphire, just pictures here and there....

WOW!!!! That's INCREDIBLE! I do remember your ER - can I ask what made you let it go? I remember your stunning eternity, as well. Now *that* was a ring!

Thanks for sharing, Sharon! :wavey:

The eternity band remains, permanently.

Kate Spade has a faux dupe of the top of your stone bib. I am swooning over yours!

I have only had one person comment on my jewelry within the past few years! Either they don't notice or they don't say anything lol.
