I love my aquamarine e-ring, and want to have aquamarine stones in my wedding ring as well. Which ring do you think is nicer as a wedding ring? I plan to wear the wedding ring alone.

aquamarine eternity band
3 stone aquamarine ring

The second ring looks like an e-ring, but I love big shiny stones!

If you are wearing the wedding ring alone I would get the 2nd one.

I like both, but the eternity is just

I think the eternity would be easier to wear all of the time. Bigger stones would get in the way of some things so you''d have to take it off fairly often. The eternity band would also leave you with the option of wearing your WB along with your e-ring later if you wanted.

what does your ering look like?

oh ok, so you are planning on wearing them on different hands?

hmm, I mean, I like the eternity because it looks more like a wedding band, but your wedding ring can be whatever you want it to be!

slg47 - I plan to wear just wedding ring most of time, and wear both occasionally on different hands. I totally agree that the eternity band looks more like a wedding band. The sparkles of big gemstones are so hard to resist

, which is why I was asking for opinions here.

I guess I'm rather traditional insofar as I like wedding bands to look like wedding bands. So I prefer the first ring you showed us. But have you thought about just wearing your e-ring and having that become your wedding ring? Also, is there any space underneath the surrounding diamonds for a very thin band to slip through? It might still be possible to wear a band. I also know that in some of the wedding set threads in SMTB they talk about how they actually like the gap that will appear between the band and the e-ring. Anyway, just a thought.

ETA: Also, would the aquamarine in those rings match the aquamarine in your e-ring? And do you care if they do (or don't)?

The second ring is really looking awesome and as you are planning to wear just a ring that will suit you more as it consists of big diamond. The first one is also awesome but it will look somewhat simple.

To AustenNut - I like the idea of wearing e-ring as wedding ring. It did occur to me before, but then another not-so-sentimental thought came in - why not use this great opportunity to get another gorgeous ring?

Unfortunately, there is no room for a very thin band to go underneath the e-ring. Also, having a gap between the band and the e-ring might look a little weird on me, because of my pudgy finger and the size of e-ring (the shiny top is about 12mm x 10mm). As you can imagine, the band would sit pretty close to the knuckle (or the base, depending how I would wear them). I wish I had long and slim fingers

I guess matching is not a big issue. The seller said he could look for gems either similar to my e-ring, or in any other color I prefer.

marcyc, TooPatient, rayoncena - Thank you so much for sharing your opinions!

I don''t think either is "better" - all depends on your preferences.

That being said, I prefer the first one (the 3/4 eternity) as I really think it is nice having a more traditional "band". It is easy to wear and there is something just lovely about a band.

However, you said you like big, shiny stones. So the 3-stone would suit that purpose. I think people may at times mistake it for an engagement ring, so just be aware of that!
