Which sapphire do you prefer? Narrowed it down to two.

The newest pictures also look like they're taken indoors, in lower lighting, which probably makes a difference. I actually prefer a greener tone, so any loss of blue wouldn't disappoint me.

@norman, its kind of par with sapphires (and most other stones too if we're really honest) that they will vary somewhat depending on the lighting source. Put one under LED , the same under incandescent, and then under halogen and you'll see what I'm getting at.

But both are very lovely in its own right, and IMO the OP can't go wrong either way, its all a matter of her picking one at this point.

Well, especially with the hand shots-Yellow all the way!!!! It has so much life, and as a blond myself, I have a yellow diamond and love it!! I think yellow stones are spectacular on blonds (ok, I may be a little biased)

The yellow by a mile for me!

I like the green - I'm not helping!

I don't like the yellow on the hand.

If you do choose yellow, take it to a jeweler and plop it in a platinum setting and a setting with yellow gold prongs.

Sapphires don't need enhancing with prongs like a yellow diamond often does. I don't think you'd need to make the prongs yellow, and I'm not sure it wouldn't emphasize the golden tones in the sapphire. If you're looking for a sunshiny yellow, you don't want to bring out the golden tones.

I think the yellow looks better than the green in these recent pics. But that makes me stuck on which I like more bc, when I tend to love a stone, it tends to look better in all lights to me in comparison to other stones. Now, the green looks too dark for my taste.

Are you leaning yellow even more now?

Yes. Definitely towards the yellow. I still like the green but think it might be a tad dark for me.

I definitely will do that. That will be the fun part! Do you have a basket preference for which it will look best in?

Hello

Even I will vote for yellow, but also I like the green.

Did you decide to keep the green?

I think we are going to go with the yellow :) My boyfriend and I spoke with Jeff on the phone last night about any of our outstanding questions. He was amazingly nice and took the time to address any and all of our concerns. The plan is to put a deposit down, I just need to discuss more with the boyfriend tonight and finalize the plans.

That's nice for an untreated yellow sapphire. Most are brownish or too washed out. The green cushion is kind of dark, and overly grey for me. The yellow is definitely a rarer stone and that diamond cut in it is gorgeous, I can see the arrows.

Between these two, I like the yellow one better.

This is one of the nicest looking untreated yellow sapphires I've seen in a long time. The teal coloured sapphire is more easily found and too dark for my taste.

That yellow is incredible, great choice!

Congratulations!!
