Which style would you choose?

I like #1 better for a garden wedding.
I like the pure fresh quality - I feel like a lot of women would stand out better in a dress like that, contrasting with the flowers.

#2 is gorgeous too - I might be a little afraid of a dress like that wearing me. Does anyone know what I mean?

Have you tried on either dress or either style of dress?
Do you have pics of you in the dresses?

Scintillating...

~~I think that style 2 would be the best choice...

I like #2 for the style wedding you''re having. Don''t get me wrong, I love #1 but I think it says "ballroom", not "garden wedding".

#2 vote here, for the garden setting.

both are gorgeous though.

ETA I tried on a Casablanca dress that is sorta similar to the Monique, but w/a dropped waist for the ribbon part... but I asked about altering that to make it higher at the natural waist and they said it could be done (of course, for extra)

A little late but... I love #2 Lacy dress style. There are so many gorgeous ones out there right now...

I like the look of the ballgown too, more classic, but the other style just grabs me.

i recently saw a combination of the two dresses. it had an empire waist and lace above the ribbon sash. the bottom of the gown was similar to dress no. 1

Lauren,

I really, really like that second lace gown you posted (from MC, I've been drooling over it since it was posted) but I'm wondering if I can have it made for around $1000? I'm going to try to get some quotes.

Speaking of mixing and matching, I also LOVE this one from ML:

Hi ebree :)

I love them both! But with the description you gave...peonies, tulips, etc. I would have to go with #1. I was trying to imagine a peony bouquet with the dresses and I thought #2 might look funny... just my opinion though

hi again (ok I actually read the whole thread this time)

I like the last ML dress you posted! I''ve also seen strapless dresses like the first with lace across the waist wide enough so that it was a few inches above the waist and a few inches below the waist -- I remember it because my mom loved the dress... not sure if I can find the pic again though! If you go on theknot.com dress message board and ask, someone will reply :)

Good luck!

#2!

I definitely vote for style #2 for your dream garden wedding. So elegant, so spring-like, so fresh and pretty. It will look perfect in an outside wedding with tulips.

#1 is very pretty, but I agree with someone else in that it''s more of a ballgown style, which works best with a more formal wedding, inside, evening. I think it''d look a little bit overpowering for a garden wedding, whereas #2 would look perfect and I''m sure it looks gorgeous on too.

Definitely #2 Ebree! I love the lace and it will be perfect for a garden wedding. Gorgeous!

Lauren, where did you get your price on that second lace dress ($1700)? It''s listed at $2400 on her website.

I like the second one more! It''s more romantic looking!

I ADORE #2! IT was one of the finalist for my garden wedding! ML lace is divine! nothing like it! and the price reflects it unfortunately!!

check out this ML thread. i think the dress i was talking about is Lady.

This pic is from a girl who is selling a used size 4 on preownedwedingdresses.com

It has the strapless A-line shape with a bit of lace in it
