It was a rushed decision because my partner at the time kept asking for me to commit and honestly hindsight is 20/20. Within a week of engagement it was back to getting used as a doormat etc. I'm glad to say a few years later, I'm much happier, in a warm wholesome relationship and the ring was returned, so the ring is for sale"

Now what we have here is the original stone, set in a new platinum ring with 12 small diamonds on each side, I am uncertain of exact ctw but estimated 0.80-1ctw
The original ring is, of course, also included
Along with the full set of papers
Only the original box I discarded, which, hopefully is not a big issue as I cannot imagine anyone re-using the old whiteflash box.

Hi friends, I'm sorry I am unaware of the standard prices. In the forum thread prior there was mention of offering 15% below the purchase price. Genuinely open to all offers far and wide, even if someone is low balling even in their own opinion, I'd still have that conversation to see where it leads.

The original whiteflash ring included is 4.5 and the platinum ring its set on at current is 5.5

Just to clarify - where did the new setting come from? Is it also WhiteFlash? If not - do you know anything about the quality of the diamonds in the setting?

I believe it might have been me who suggested a 15% discount when selling premium diamonds, but that only holds true if prices remain constant between when you bought and when you're selling. Given that there's a very comparable diamond for 17,777, you'd be looking at a price closer to $15,500 for your diamond. Settings often don't add much value, as most people will want to re-set unless it's a known, high quality, desirable setting. You also refer to "the original ring" which is included - but you don't give any information about it for people to gauge it's relative value.

I wish you well with your sale, but you might find you're currently priced rather high.

Yes all great points, I wish I knew the specifics of the original ring, and the new one as well. It was done by a jeweller in Sydney. I think the main item of value is the diamond. I shall amend the ad to 15.5k and see how it goes!
