Hey everyone! So we ran into a few issues along the way, but I'm really happy with how things turned out.

The Verragio setting was delayed due to a production issue. Given that I have pretty major proposal plans, the fine team at Whiteflash were very flexible and set my diamond in a temporary setting for the proposal. Photos below!

On March 30, I surprised my girl by reserving the Penthouse at Ink48 for the night. That was the first surprise. The second surprise - as we attended a Broadway show, my proposal planner arranged for candles to be set on the rooftop terrace along with a bouquet of roses. I also had an incredible photographer ready to capture the special moment when she said yes!

Whiteflash was incredible throughout this process, having overnight shipped the temporary setting to NY just in time for the proposal. Today, the "real" ring finished up, and we are speechless! 136 FG/VS stones and .50 TW set in platinum! Paired with the diamond which has exceptional light performance, this is truly a "forever" ring!

And - FTR - I’ve never heard before this thread that there was such a thing as a ‘proposal coordinator’! But what a great idea for someone who has imagination, creativity, etc. and wants to help make special moments for couples!

Whiteflash has undoubtedly provided the best customer service I've experienced in any capacity. I'll save those details for the formal review. Everything came secure in a bubble wrap package inside two separate boxes. I requested two Whiteflash presentation boxes, so we could keep one at each of our properties, and the verragio box for use at my fiancé's work. Whiteflash also provided two cleaning kits, a tool kit, and a leatherette pouch.

I'll take some hand shots when my fiancé gets home from work. A few initial observations of both the diamond and the setting:

Diamond:
- While the rock has a 6.3mm spread average, it appears larger, of course, given the cut. The light performance is incredible, and I knew it would be after reviewing the IDEAL/ASET images. The diamond appears larger also due to the lumino setting which raises it above the complex flower portion of the setting.

Setting:
- Intricate craftsmanship. Being made out of platinum, the ring has a robust feel to it. Each of the 136 FG/VS stones have been, upon further review, set flawlessly. One of Verragio's principles is to maintain focus on the diamond regardless of how complex the setting may be. The lumino setting (raising the diamond up) is my favorite aspect of the ring and accomplishes this principle in a beautiful way.

Hey guys... Been a while, and I hope all is well!

A few months after the proposal, we got Maui'd on 11/11!


I appreciate all the help received... And now I need some more!

We're coming up on our 1 year (insane). Life has been very good to us, and I want to surprise my wife with a diamond upgrade. (she is for the idea). The current stone is around 6.3mm. I am looking at a few WF ACAs G/VS1 around 7.6mm.

The setting is what's REALLY special to my wife, so it has to stay. The WF Production team said they could accommodate a 7.6mm stone on the existing setting, however the diamond would need to sit a bit higher... Anyone have any ideas if setting a larger diamond in a halo-type setting like this would look weird? Perhaps even better since the rock will sit higher?

There is no way to to upgrade to the same setting ?? It’s a big difference between 6m and 7.6 mm!

Could you find out how high the ring is off her finger right now (mm). Ask WF what the new height would be (see if they will give you a possible range).
That way you will be able to see if you think it will be too high off her finger or not. IMO*, her ring already
sits high. Here is the size difference. Do you think the new stone will fit?

Thank you very much for pulling this info! I will measure how high the ring is on my wife's finger and how much higher WF is thinking it will be with the new diamond.

I agree that the current ring already sits high... And even if the new diamond would fit (like WF says) the setting, it was originally built around the size of the 6.3mm diamond. So it might look off.

Perhaps I just trade up the diamond and get a new setting for it. Then put another 1 carat diamond/or other stone in the original Verragio setting as another option...
