I don''t mind the color scheme. I tend to think darker sites look classier. I also like that the diamond detail page text is beige colored and not white. However, I find it a bit difficult figuring out where the links are. I''m sorta just mousing all over the place.

Ok...Old report search/sold goods: I put it on the list, thank you.Date: 9/20/2006 9:14:34 PM

I like the new website. Although I noticed that when I did a search for the serial number, my diamond no longer says 'sold.' I need to contact them about that.
Otherwise...it is an upgrade. And I do like the darker color. But hmmmm....part of me likes the old one.
Right lop. At this point we're concentrating on round, princess and XF in Expert Selection. I would be remiss if I didn't tell you the new AGS Emerald Cut metric and cutting guidelines have Brian's attention, though...Date: 9/20/2006 8:06:10 PM

Hi John,
I found your new site by accident this am, and couldn't get the search for other shapes to work. I was trying to search for emerald cuts, and it kept coming up with rounds. and, I guess there are no more emerald expert selectons? too bad...
I am using Safari, and other than getting this search to work, the site seemed to navigate fine at first blush (I didn't spend a lot ot time navigating through it besides the stone search engine, which I tried several times, but always got rounds).
We''re still partial to X-Factor around here...but the beauty of PS is exposure to many voices, opinions and ideas. In the words of the great Dean Martin; keep those cards & letters coming.Date: 9/20/2006 7:53:47 PM

Yeah, kinda ex-girlfriend + X-box.
Hey John, let''s call it a Fairy Princess?
Thanks for the screen shot. I sparked up Mozilla and got the same thing earlier. The programmers are working on this tonight/tomorrow.Date: 9/20/2006 11:04:50 PM

Firefox user having some problems here, although it seems to work for the most part. I''ve attached a screenshot of what''s going on when I try to search for diamonds, although I had to majorly shrink it to make it small enough to fit the attachment size requirements. (It never quite finishes loading, either.)
I''m not quite sure which I like better, although I think it would be interesting to see what some of the guys here have to say. I know that when FI was looking around at jewelry sites online, he remembered the darker ones (perhaps because there are less of them?). In some ways, I feel like it looks more masculine.
Research huh? We have no problem with that.Date: 9/20/2006 10:18:38 PM

I can't figure out out to *steal* the pix of the claw prong Asscher studs. I'm afraid I need it for, um, research ... yeah ... that's it. Or ... inspiration, perhaps!
Any chance you Whiteflash folks can post it in the non-flash Pscope gallery??? Pretty pretty please???

You can do this for a quick snag: During flash, when the image you want comes up, right-click it and un-check ''play.'' You should be able to capture a screen shot (lo-res). I do have the image in normal res and will be glad to provide it to you.

Ahhhhhh .... sahweeett!! Thanks Mrssalvo! Aren''t those dreamy? How big do you think those are .. wonder how sizable they need to be to make double claw prongs like that look ''right''? ANY GUESSES PEOPLE????Date: 9/21/2006 8:37:28 AM

And maybe its just my monitor, but when i'm looking at a diamond's details page at the Color section, the what should be 'near colorless' G-I stone pictures look sooo yellow.
example of what i'm talking about:
or is it just me seeing that?

How long ago did you buy yours, though? Because I cannot access mine either, and my pendant is new since May.Date: 9/24/2006 5:54:44 PM

propel: the ''sold'' diamonds are still listed if you know the source code. I know because mine is still there.
I checked this tonight and believe it’s been fixed, but if you experience it again let us know. There are still a few fancy shape searches we’re adjusting; for instance, an oval search from the drop-down works fine, but from the shapes page it returns old miners. Thanks, Lop.Date: 9/23/2006 9:47:09 PM

Thanks John, I'll stay tuned on the new AGS emerald cuts. In the meantime, under more searches, if you try to search on emerald shapes, only rounds come up, after having selected emerald as the shape. I didn't try other shapes, but this search engine doesn't seem to be working right.

I like the new site, but miss the simplicity the old site provided.
I was looking for .30 stones for earrings (on ES) and on the new site you have to enter the stone size, where the old site it showed what is available.
Great point. Let me see about this. Thanks 3H.Date: 9/24/2006 2:35:16 PM

The old site also added the stone's prices on the bottom if you chose a pair for earrings, the new site does not (I miss this function).
No, you’re doing it correctly. This was fixed but seems to have come un-fixed. Sorry about that. If there is a question, any diamond identified as “stock available” is one of the Expert Selection stones, in our vault. “Call for availability” is a supplier’s stone.Date: 9/24/2006 2:41:58 PM

The site looks beautiful.
Am I doing something wrong when I try to look at the expert selection stones? I keep getting stones that don't have idealscope images when I adjust the search parameters. It's almost as though I'm getting directed over to the search engine for all stones. And what about expert selection fancies?
This was also on the list, pr0pel (and Alj). I’ll get an update on where we stand.Date: 9/24/2006 5:17:35 PM

Are you going to put the archived/sold diamonds up? A lot of people have their previously purchased diamonds linked so people can view the reports/pictures but old diamonds are no longer listed.
