Whiteflash-sellers on ebay are stealing your diamond photos

Re: Whiteflash-sellers on ebay are stealing your diamond pho

WOW! They didn't even attempt to hide the logo! You should send WF an email directly to make sure that they are aware. I know that Brian often reads the boards but I'd hate for them to miss this.

 Blatant!

Do email WF directly - and I'd send Ebay a message too :nono:

Very daring indeed! Yes, please contact WF directly ASAP. I think Vera takes care of such things but really, any WF representative will do.

Whiteflash, people on ebay are stealing your pictures. I have found this a few times. This one has your name and "W" symbol. I have seen others with just the "W" symbol. And I know you do not sell enhanced diamonds.

Just a heads up as my reporting it to ebay will result in no action.
i reported as well, not that that helps

I've also seen a number of their shots of finished rings on flowers on ebay. Haven't saved any of the listings but they pop up often enough.

I noticed this too. When I first clicked on the listing I was all excited thinking someone was selling a WF ring at a great price. Then I realized the pics were stolen. :nono: Can't believe a seller would shamelessly do that!

Re: Whiteflash-sellers on ebay are stealing your diamond pho

That seriously makes me insane. Knowingly defrauding not only the buyers, but also the person or company you're stealing the photos from. The original poster's link shows that WF pic and the stone the sheister has listed is clarity enhanced. So while we all know WF is not my vendor of choice, anyone that happens upon WF now, if they find that link and that image, there is a real chance they could assume WF is selling clarity enhanced. Or some other not so honest vendor could use that as their attempt to talk someone out of a perfectly legit online purchase. Gah. Ebay I hate you.

Re: Whiteflash-sellers on ebay are stealing your diamond pho

The one with the Marquise and WF emblem is just very bold. Can't believe that! I emailed this thread to WF in case no one else has done so.

Re: Whiteflash-sellers on ebay are stealing your diamond pho

Is it possible this stone has been purchased by the ebay vendor and he is reselling it? There are a lot of people selling on ebay who use the manufacturer's photo.

Not saying this is what's going on but is it really breaking ebay's rules? And if I sell an item is it only acceptable to post my own photography (which would never be the sort of close-up WF can make)?

Re: Whiteflash-sellers on ebay are stealing your diamond pho

Swingurl, ebay seller is selling an "enhanced" diamond. Since Whiteflash only sells natural diamonds, it cannot be one of theirs.

Yep, same with all the ring photos in the flowers--they are WF's photos being used, but the actual ring listings state they are clarity-enhanced diamonds. Someone is going to buy one of those rings thinking they are getting the one in the WF photo, but who knows what they will actually receive?!

Re: Whiteflash-sellers on ebay are stealing your diamond pho

Good point. I didn't see the part about being clarity enhanced.

Re: Whiteflash-sellers on ebay are stealing your diamond pho

This boils my blood - thieves! I'd hate to see WF have to start painting their logo over their beautiful photos in an attempt to ward off these cheats.

Re: Whiteflash-sellers on ebay are stealing your diamond pho

They have since changed the photo.

Re: Whiteflash-sellers on ebay are stealing your diamond pho

I noticed the Whiteflash site in an informercial for some sort of CZ ring on TV last night. It was a pic of a WF diamond, and they were asserting that "you could pay $28k for the exact same thing as this [silver-plated CZ ring]!!", lol. The WF logo was not visible but it was very obviously the WF site... I wonder what is going on here? Poor WF!

Re: Whiteflash-sellers on ebay are stealing your diamond pho

At least they took the Whiteflash logo and name out of the photo. Although I wonder if the diamond photo is still the same, just rotated a bit. I doubt it is a picture of the actual enhanced diamond he is selling.

I would hate to see a company who works hard for their reputation to be mistaken for that scammer.

Whomever reported them to ebay, good job.
