I AM SO HAPPY THAT HELIO WON!!!!

I was rooting and voting for him all along. Mel B was good too but she''s had dance experience and Helio didn''t and he was super good! I love Julianne too!

I thought Carrie Ann''s dress was ugly too. I said to my husband, "what is she wearing!?"

did anyone else''s tv or tivo not catch Mel B''s last dance??? my Tivo went from commercial to the end of the dance where they got their scores. i went back 3 times and still nothing. it was like it was never even aired. how odd is that?? i was so bummed we missed the last dance for them!

helio was awesome and i think they as a team deserved to win. julianne is one of my fave dancers, she just has the best personality and i''d kill to have her body! hehee.

) and I *so* predicted Helio was going to win -- I almost tried to find this thread before the show started to have "proof" but -- aiigh -- I didn''t. AIIGHHHHH. Anyhoo: here''s why I thought he would: You can''t take your eyes off of Julianne. That''s what happened LAST year too. SHE is the good one. No one can compete with HER. And she really knows how to put an audience pleasing routine together. Their freestyle was SO MUCH BETTER than Maksim''s ridiculous self-promoting craziness. His ego is so out of control he can''t help choreographing things that feature HIMSELF - rather than poor Mel. She was on the ground for like thirty seconds before he fell on top of her in that last (repeat) # they did. PUH-lEEZE. And Mel looked like she was counting steps and trying to remember in the "freestyle" number. She wasn''t PERFORMING AT ALL. She was staring off into space & looking at her feet. Even when I could break out of Julianne tractor-beam & focus on Helio a bit I could see he was actually smiling & such.

I also think Julianne gets those guys to fall in love with her. And they''re her little robots after that! Helio''s fiance (according to the gossip columns) just called off of their engagement. Geez -- I might too after seeing every routine become HIM trying to kiss JULIANNE. I mean -- that was the storyline in almost ALL of their ROUTINES! Wonder why? Hmmmmm. And last year she called off her OWN engagement while training with Apolo. Hmmmmmmm.

Mara, I was able to watch Mel B''s last dance on TV when it aired. You can watch her last dance on abc.com. Both last dances were awesome! A great way to end this season!

deco, tmz noted today that the engagement between helio and fiancee was called off weeks ago i guess. notice she''s a blonde too....hmm.

what was up with him smackin'' her a good one last nite, and did anyone else see when they did the replay of the original banana dance in the recaps before they announced the winner that he had kissed her then too and her eyes FLEW open wide and then he DROPPED her? that was an episode i didn''t see and i had to rewind it last nite, because i was like dude he dropped her after planting a super surprise one on her, how seriously wrong is that?!

Deco, I completely agree with you! Julianne has a great personality and hot body, is a super good choreographer and teacher, and an awesome dancer! Mel is always looking at the ground or at her feet. I agree that it''s hard to keep your eyes off Julianne but when I do watch Helio he''s smiling and having fun!

I didn''t know Julianne was engaged before!!! Isn''t she 19? I couldn''t believe all of the kissing going on between her and Helio.

I read that it was called off a couple of weeks ago & they decided not to announce so it wouldn''t affect the competition ... but I guess Helio didn''t get the memo that he could start talkign about it today -- and when her lawyer announced it this afternoon -- he''d been acting like they were still engaged all day during his interviews.

I thought the most telling moment last night was when they were deciding what dance to "redo" and she was suggesting other stuff & he was all "QUICKSTEP" aka "THE ONE WHERE I GET TO KISS YOU". I think he has it BAD for her and she''s just a kid playing around with her "power". Time''ll tell though ...

Hmmm... I think Jennie, Jane, and even Marie had so much trouble with the Latin dances because they had trouble wrapping their minds around the idea of seducing their younger partners. In a couple of the rehearsal shots they were practically patting their instructors on the head, as if they were their kids or something.

"Dancing With the Stars" winner Helio Castroneves, 32, took home the trophy, ditched his fiancee - and, it looks like, picked up a girlfriend - all in one week.

The hunky Brazilian race car driver announced Wednesday that he canned his engagement to fiancée Aliette Vazquez. And on-set snitches are saying his closeness to dance partner Julianne Hough, 19, was a big part of the reason.

Last week, Helio and Julianne were spotted giggling and teasing each other while shopping for matching Ritmo watches together in Beverly Hills at the David Orgell store.

On Wednesday, Helio told a pal: "Aliette was only my girlfriend ... maybe remotely a fiancee." (Ouch!)

When asked about his relationship with Hough, he replied: "She is very close to me."
