I was talikng about standard mass production..., and of larger sizes (one carats)...
Based on my experience..., the smaller you go..., the more distinguished you want the stones to look when they are set in a line!

But all these factors must be falling into economic sense! Dont forget..., the smaller the fancy shape..., the more significant the labor cost is as a part of the whole Diamond cost! (do you understand me?)

gotcha :}
labor is why I went with a 3/2, I could make it slightly better by going 3/3.
Im going too try a 2/2 also :}
Show me a line with bigger corner breaks...

Strmdr,
Do not use two pavilion step . Should be at least 3 steps
I will show tomorrow why. have not time now.
BTW please check DEATS window in DC3.0.
It could work even for old video cards

gem file for a simular 3/3

Both of these need some work on the crown otherwise the table will come out about 40 when cut.
Im out till later tonight starting in 5 min.

I like the 24 much better.
Im delaying work on this till I hear back from Serg on 3/2 vs 3/3.
Then will work on a 24 optimised model and fix the crown.

Serg is 100% right! You may incorporate 2 pav. steps on really tiny ones like 1-1.5mm. diameter, but larger than that it will not work!

ok, how about 2 crown on a ~3mm too 4mm range,,,,
Or is the labor savings not worth it?

looks like it takes a large hit in flash density?
With a smaller hit in flash intensity?

Serg,
I still don''t understand dynamic ETAS. Why the different colors?

Detas shows tracks co-virtual facets during tilt diamond.

If you see a lot long tracks what cover most important part Light space , Diamond has good “Life” (Scintillation is part of “Life’)
big black zone without any track and with blue tracks only is “BLIND DIAMOND ZONE”
Diamond does not see( catch) any light from such BLIND zones even during tilt

Green color track means what angular track size equal to the angle of tilt

More color means what angular track size is bigger than the angle of tilt
Blue color means what angular track size is too small

Diamond can has good LR in ASET or even good “ASET SCINTILLATION”, but very bad real Scintillation

LIFE and DEAD diamonds both can have very good ASET image, because
ASET( or IS, FS,..) do not show “BLIND ZONE PHENOMENA”

DiaGem,
For custom too semi-custom melee asschers would they normally be ordered by weight or calibrated size?

Storm..., usually custom means ordered based on precise info.

If ordered based on weight..., the mm. sizes will be based on a range of the assortment (example: 1/4 carats = 3.7-3.4mm range.)

Wow, that stone is amazing Storm and DG!!!! I love it and the pattern
