Interesting to me ...
But does this jibe with our cat lovers here?

I've had 2 orange male cats. The first one was very friendly and affectionate; the second was more reserved and didn't like being picked up for more than a few seconds, or petted for long. He would swipe at us if we went on petting him even a little longer than he liked. And he would make it clear when he wanted to be put back down.

I have read this before. I think (as with most things) the answer is it depends.

We had an orange kitty named Butch. He was so smart and so loving. Unfortunately he died of an aggressive cancer at age 8. I did not see riskier behavior from him but he certainly was super special. Very intelligent and very friendly.

Years later we rescued another "orange" kitty (in quotations because he is less orange than Butch and a bit more buff in color but I think he is still considered an orange cat) Oliver. Who is not that smart (sorry) and while he is loving it is on his own terms like most cats. Not like Butch at all who was dog like in his disposition.

So in my experience it depends on the specific cats though generalizations work for the majority of cats so this article could be on the money. I just cannot say from my personal experience

Thanks for sharing the article Kenny.

These were my very first kitties.
Billy, Buster and Butch. Butch is the orange cat on the right.

I think this photo was taken in 1993 or so

We have an orange kitty named JJ. He is a friendly, sweet boy. He is not a lap kitty, though. He is generally afraid of strangers or,
let's say, very precauctious. I really can't say whether he is friendlier than your typical kitty.

Not sure how me managed to wad himself up and fit in the box.
