Now I wish I had taken a photo of this ring I once saw in a jewellery shop. A lovely emerald at the centre, with two tiny side stones. Only the side stones were mounted in what I can only describe as two protruding snail eyes. It looked like a cutie-patootie alien.

The dog one looks like a cross between a 1950's poodle skirt and Edvard Munch's The Scream.
