If you're wearing it between two straight rings at least 2mm wide and not on its own it should hold up fine, depending on the metal. If you intend to wear alone, and you're hard on your hands that might not hold up as well.Ashleigh|1355838255|3334259 said:Hi,
I'm thinking of getting a 1mm spacer. However, it's so thin. Will it bend out of shape? I hope the many ladies with 1mm spacer here can share their experience.
Thank you.
The donut could, depending on how big it is in relation to the shank, like how..."stickey outty" it is.Ashleigh|1355838745|3334274 said:Ame, thanks for the reply. What if the wedding band is straight but there is a donut on the ER? Do you think the donut portion will cause the spacer to bend?

Ashleigh I have a 1mm spacer between my VC Emilya ring (with donut/diamonds) and my eternity band. I have only been wearing the set for 6-7 weeks of so but so far/ so good. I have attached some pics showing my stack with how everything looks.
I'm actually very tough on my hands. I don't take my rings off for any reason- meaning I don't baby my pave. If the spacer was going to bend by now it probably already would have. And if it does in the future I think I only paid around $200 on Etsy for it (Junedesigns I believe was the store name...it was recommended on another topic about spacers) so I will just get a new one. My spacer is 1mm PLAT and so far I have been thrilled with it. Let me know if you have any other questions.

The sticky outty comment makes sense. I'll think on it a bit more.

Sarah, thanks for your photos. It helps to visualise how much pressure a 1mm plat spacer can take given the sticky outtiness of the donut. And thanks for sharing the Etsy vendor. $200 seems like a reasonable price for a plat spacer. Btw, I love your set, Sarah. It's lovely

She also sold a thinner band for a little cheaper. I think it was .8mm, but I didn't want to go to thin or else I thought I would bend it. If you use the search function on PS (which is not working for me right now or else I would do it for you) there is a great thread where people show their spacers. Most for halos with donuts were 1mm and several etsy vendors were recommended including the one I ended up buying from. My only issue with the vendor is that they are in Canada so I had to pay for shipping from Canada, plus the wait time which was about 10 days with a 2 week turn around to make the ring. Well worth it, but just a little frustratring as I like instant statisfaction.

I've had it for awhile and while it's not perfectly round, it's round enough that I have to take it off and lay it down next to my wedding ring to tell that it's ever so slightly out of round.

For white gold, you can get unplated palladium white gold to avoid having to replate it periodically. I have one of those, too.
