Will a Rose Gold Pave be every day wearable?

I keep reading that if I want a micro pave ring, it needs to be platinum. I've been dreaming about a HW style ring in Rose Gold, but now I'm nervous about the wearability of gold.

Anyone have experience with this combo?

There are plenty of micro pave rings out there in WG/ GY/ and RG. While PLAT is preferred because I *believe* the metal allows for the pave to be more durable. However, with that said I have a WG eternity band with pave and have no issues. I believe a rose gold version would be gorgeous! :naughty:

I also have a WG pave band, half-eternity, and it's lovely. No issues with it whatsoever. Rose gold pave would be so pretty!

You have to be careful with micro pave no matter the metal. I think there have been just as many issues with platinum as there have been with gold. I wouldn't let that fear keep you from rose gold. Just pick a vendor with quality work and good customer service. I have had no problems with my wg setting in the 4 years I have had it, but I don't wear it around the house or to work (I'm in healthcare and I feel that what I could potentially be bringing home in my ring is just plain gross). That being said, I know I have many hours of carrying heavy baby carriers or groceries with a lot of pressure on the ring and have had no issues with deformation of the ring or lost melee.

This is mainly comparing platinum to white gold, but a lot of it (other than the color section) would apply to rose gold as well. I think the opinion of a pave master is very valuable regardless of which you end up choosing.

The only things I've ever torn up on rings is the shank at the very bottom. I have flattened a few rings into homemade Euro shanks, but I have never lost a pave' diamond out of a setting. My rings that have pave' are white gold, 14k and 18k. I think that if you keep the bottom half of the shank plain, no diamonds, that you'd have few or no problems. But I know some people want that eternity-ring look, with diamonds all around. I have sz 5 ring fingers, and am hard on shanks, so for cost savings and low-maintenence, I limit the shank diamonds to the upper half.

I just realized I never got around to saying Thank you.

So, thank you ladies!

I noticed on facebook that VC was posting about working on a RG ring that looked to be a version of the emilya...was that for you ;) If not you might want to message him about seeing finished pictures if you are seriously still interested in a RG version.

no, but I wish!! I'm sure it will be amazing.
