Will this stone fit in this setting?

I'm totally new to setting stones. How much wiggle room do I have?
Will this garnet fit in this setting? Or will there be a noticeable gap?

Garnet: 8.54 x 11.77 mm

I'm rather new at this too but I'm wondering if the pear silhouettes are different. You can have 2 pears with the same width to length ratio and one can be chubbier than the other. The setting for one shouldn't be able to fit the other. But hopefully some experts will come along.

It is likely to fit. With the prongs being long enough, you have wiggle room for your fat pear.
